Hand Luggage Question

I've had a look at VA website and I'm still not clear on a few questions.

1. Can I buy a bottle of water once I'm through security for drinking on the plane? (I know they have cups of water but I like to have a my own bottle.)

2. I've got some 18cm square zip up freezer bags from Tesco but they have a white rectangle printed on one side (for freezer labels) will these be acceptable to put my liquids in or will I have to track down some that are clear on both sides? (I've managed without liquids for my past few flights.)

3. Are wet-wipes allowed in hand luggage?

1. Yes. If you have any liquids on you, including water, before you go through security, they will remove from you and throw it away. Once you are through security, you are welcome to buy anything in the shops and take on the plane with you. We normally stop at the WHSmiths on the right-hand side of the bit we have to walk down to board the plane, and pick up some water and magazines.

2. Not totally sure. Feel free to use them. The worst that will happen is they will tell you to transfer to the clear bags that they provide free of charge before security.

3. Good question, and not sure about that one. But perhaps a travel size packet would be okay? You know, ones that contain just three or four wipes - they would have to come under the liquid limit.

Surely wipes will be ok as parents need them for changing nappies?!!

1) Yes you can buy a bottle of water after security no problem taking on the plane

2) Yes - I have used them twice before

3) Yes and you an take as large packet as you can buy I had a brand new pack of 72 wipes in March for DD - didn't want to risk running out

I've just got a small pack of travel wipes - I don't think DS(18) or DD(15) would be too happy if I suggested a nappy change.
