We have drawn a name off the Angel Tree from our church, a 9 yr old boy whose parents have requested a "hand held game". Our church requests that everyone keep the value of the gifts to $25 so that all members in the same family are getting equal priced gifts.

Does anyone have good suggestions for a $25 hand held game for a 9 yr old boy?

Thanks so much!

Karen

My daughter was 9 last year and she loved playing with my 20 Questions game when sitting around watching TV. It's less than $25 though, but maybe you could add something else too.

Yeah my kids love the 20Q and there are multiple versions.

Another thing that's fun for kids are the old style mattel hand held games - football, baseball, etc. I've seen them for about $15 on sale.

ETA - you could also call your local gamestop. They might have gently used GBA SP's for that price.

I may have this wrong but I through I saw a handheld version of Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?

My boys around that age enjoy the hand held electronic Yahtzee. It's not very expensive so you could probably also afford a 20Q which my kids also like.

Anther vote for 20 Questions! That thing has stood the test of time and I've seen all age groups enjoying it! You can get it at Target for around 7.99-9.99, and add a little something to the gift such as one of those ball thingies boys love..they start with a B! Bakagun or something like that! LOL
