Hampton Inn by Walden Galleria - any reviews?

Has anyone stayed at this hotel before? Left your vehicle there? What did you think of it?

I'm still trying to decide where to stay. The reviews I find for this hotel seem very good.

When we go shopping in Buffalo, this is my place of choice. It's clean, comfortable, and QUIET. I've stayed at other nearby places and you always hear the airplanes. I didn't notice them at the Hampton. They also have a little indoor pool and spa which my kids always like, and a free breakfast in the morning.

The only thing negative is its view. It is in a "parking lot" with a BBQ restaurant and McDonalds in it. But, we're only there to sleep. I'm not sure how secure their parking would be for a longer stay, but I assume all the Buffalo hotels are in the same boat.

When we parked and drove, we stayed in the new Fairfield Inn across from the airport. It was very similar in quality to the Hampton. We parked there safely for 2 weeks, and they had a shuttle drive us back and forth to the airport. It was an additional $50 for that service, but we were staying on points so it didn't matter.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn on a shopping trip 2 years ago. It was a nice and clean hotel and I would stay there again, but I always price it and it seems very overpriced compared to other hotels in the area. We just stayed at the Marriot in Amherst and it was very nice. We stayed over night on a Saturday for $100 thru priceline. They offer free shuttle to airport and free parking. We will likely stay here again in the future.

My favorite hotel in the area is Homewood Suites. I like this hotel because it is very close to the airport, parking lot is well lit, and we can get a room for 6 and split the cost 2 ways. They also have a free dinner Mon-Thurs. and free breakfast. The dinner has beverages including a house wine and draught beer. A pleasant surprise for us back in April. Too bad we had to get up early for a flight the next day.

I highly recommend the Hampton Inn...very nice, comfortable rooms, a nice pool area and breakfast in the morning. There are also several restaurants very close by. We didn't use their park n fly so I can't comment on that.

My whole family tends to stay at this hotel quite a bit. It is more expensive, but we get HHpoints, and the location can't be beat when we're on a shopping getaway, or for the airport. We've never had a bad stay, and we have used their park n fly service with no problem at all, although not for a few years (I'm spoiled...I like to park at the airport and just get in the car and get home). Love the pool, breakfast is good, and the beds really are "heavenly"! My mom and are are doing a shopping getaway at the end of Sept and we're staying here again!
