Hammocks

My DH is dying to get a hammock on CC and on our excursion to Blue Lagoon. Does anyone have any advice. He isn't the type of person that likes to be in the sun for long, but if I can get him a hammock, it will buy my and my DD's some extra time in the sun!!

To get a hammock on Castaway Cay, the first and best way is to get off the ship early. Then head down the family beach and you will find plenty of hammocks.
If you get off later, go all the way down the family beach to the area near Heads Up bar. There are three hammocks that most people don't see, so they won't get taken until later.

Whenever I have to go to the denist and I am getting a shot. I always think about laying in my hammock on C.C. with the sun shining above and the sounds of the ocean...nothing could be better! Those memories last forever! We always get off the ship early and never have a problem.

My husband and I went to Blue Lagoon with a (dare I say) carnival cruise last year. There were hammocks everywhere you turned around all over the island. We were on the island with carnival and disney folks and there were still tons. You will definitely not have a problem there.

On CC, everyone runs from the ships, claims a hammock and then rarely uses it for the rest of the day. I mostly saw hammocks with towels and other items sitting in them, not people.

My sister really wanted to lay in a hammock and read a book, so she just approached a family that had a claimed hammock and wasn't using it and asked if she may use it. She promised to vacate the hammock the second they wanted it back.

The agreed. She read her book for two hours and they never asked her for the hammock back.

You could try the same thing. Most folks are pretty nice and if you ask, most would be willing to share.
