Hamiltonians, enjoying the weather lately? Have you seen the forecast?

Well it's now a combination of pouring rain and snow! What a real slushy mess and soooo heavy to clean up .....even with a snow blower. Please have sun tomorrow? :sunny:

LOL Kim yes as much as I love this city..............and will miss the "neighbours" terribly! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: We have decided with DH retiring this August, to move to someplace a little calmer and not too far from Lake Erie. We've actually been looking for a year and a half and we've got a really nice newly built semi out in Simcoe. We sold our own house in 4 days and actually had 2 parties bidding at the same time. We've been packing for a few weeks now and April 15th is the moving date. :) What a lot of work though.........it's been 13 years since we had to do this and I was a lot younger then too! :goodvibes

But before we move we've had to replace both panes of glass in our patio door leading to the front balcony as "someone" :sad2: took a shot at it with a pellet gun..........called the police but no proof as to which "lovely" person did this.......$500.00 to replace! :sad2:

Ah well not too long and we'll be enjoying the peace and quiet of country living! :sunny: I can't wait to start planning and planting a brand new garden with lots of colour. :flower2:

Hi again. We were all going to go to the new mall in Vaughan today. Well we got as far as Hamilton and Said thats it and stopped to shop. When we hit home here in Paris, NO SNOW, what a difference. My cousin this morning though was driving with his two sons to Delhi and ended up down in a ravene.Broken ribs, punctured lung, a few stitches and in a Hamilton hospital overnight, he knows everyone thank god. His son got a few stitches is fine.Who had this laite April fools joke?

It is snowing at 8 am today in the London area. It is really nasty and windy. Supposed to be like this all day.

Well we are getting freezing rain!

This weather is ridiculous!

Oh and now it is snowing!

What a mess!

Cindy, Congratulations!!! :cheer2: How very exciting for you, a brand new house! :) Really, you had a bidding war going on? Cool!! :teeth: Yes, I can just imagine how sad you feel about leaving your neighbours. ;) Planning a brand new garden will be fun too, you'll have to tell us all about it! :flower3:

I hope you're well into your packing, April 15th will be here before you know it! :)

Wow Disney Ontario, so sorry to hear about your cousin and his sons!!! :( That must of given them a awful fright! I'm glad they're going to be okay.

Well, things haven't improved here, weather wise. It's snowing like crazy!! On top of the 6-8" we already have, they're calling for 4 more by the time it's all over tomorrow morning. Very wet and heavy stuff!!

Gosh now there's thunder and lightening to add to this sorrid mess!

We're having our big Easter dinner here this afternoon too, as DH had to work last weekend BUT look at the stupid weather. :sad2: This is nuts! :rotfl2: The 3 of us may be eating a 20lb turkey and a ham all alone!!!!! :goodvibes

Oh well I guess I can always spend the day packing.

How about a barbeque, Cindy? :teeth: We went to one last night! It took forever to cook the food, the wind kept blowing out the burners! :confused3 :teeth:

Oh my goodness, Disney Ontario!! What a terrible experience for your cousin and his sons!! I'm very glad to hear that they will be okay!

Wow Cindy, what exciting news! I hope you will enjoy your new house in simcoe, out of the hustle and bustle of a big city.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I looked outside this morning. It was a blizzard! I received an email from my Dh who said that they got soaked playing golf yesterday morning, cancelled their afternoon game and that their game this morning was cancelled due to too much water on the fairways and were hoping to find a game on the way home. Good luck!! ;)

Okay Mother Nature, April Fool's Day was Friday....enough already!!! :(

DS Jeff called from Sault Ste. Marie today and said it was a beautiful day although windy. He was up flying this afternoon and is booked t fly tomorrow as well. I guess it's just us suffering with this mess.

how horrible! I hate this heavy snow.. we got SO much here in Mt Hope.. (south of Hamilton) our power was out from 10 am -3:30 pm.. my IL'S had it out until 4 AM!
broke down and bought a generator for our sump pump, bailing was NOT fun.. and lol.. on the way home my DH calls me to say the power just came back on.. lmbo.. just my luck.. oh well I am ready for the next outage!
I hope it stops soon.. this is just to much snow and really heavy and hard to shovel. keep in mind we have a 60 foot driveway. ugh I want to be at Disney now!!!!!

I was speaking to my aunt in Fonthill last night and she said that they were without electricity for some time over the weekend and they had to be "dug out" of their house because of all the snow. I can't believe the differerence. Down here it just rained, and on Sunday it was sunny and in the 50's.

I hope it clears up by Thursday since DW and I are coming to visit my parents from Thurs - Mon.
