Ok, so it happened to you to? We got the crummiest selection. When Diana asked me "Hey, what did you get?" I said "I got a rock". We both started laughing hysterically But seriously, the quality of the candy wasn't as good as last year's picks and to top it all off there were NO apple crisps!

Yep, they candy really sucked that night! I ate the three pieces of chocolates I got and the rest went to Trick-or-Treaters!

I brought the crowns last year. Got them on an end aisle at Michael's. I'm not crafty, but they were cute.

Great trip report. I wish my camera was in a better working order when I saw everyone before the TOT party. I wanted to take tons of pics. But I got nada. Great costumes.

Oh, and I agree....skanky was in this Halloween.

The sticker mystery is solved! I searched Michaels for almost an hour in their sticker section and nada. Thanks for the sticker on the Girls Trip!

Sorry about your camera. One trip I forgot to bring my battery charger and apparently didn't charge my battery before I left, so I was stuck taking cell phone pics...yuck.

Loving your trip report, and I am TOTALLY making those Haunted Mansion cemetery cupcakes for my daughter's class party on Friday.

I started asking for the carrots, crasins, raisins, apples...the healthy stuff because if I wasn't going to get yummy chocolate I figured the healthy snacks were better than the sour candy I seemed to be getting.

PS Thanks for the report and posting the pictures.

I would have preferred apple slices and carrots to the candy I got. I should have asked, but I was so tired I just went with the flow.

I saw one station that had the fruit leather and I had to ask for one Really??? Other than that we got a couple apple and carrots, way too many raisins and Craisins (blech!!). At least Jesse will eat some of the candy that we got (he's a kid - what does he know ). I would rather have had the wine and Grand Marnier that Wendy and the other ladies were enjoying


What happens next????? I have a couple of very cute pics from Minnie's if you want........ which cost me a little bit in bribery, I might add Worth it though!!

Boo for crappy candy is right! I'd love to see the Minnie pictures! It was so fun getting Jesse to take pictures!

What??? OMG, that sucks. I got tons of candy last year. I took a pic of it and it almost covered my bed at HoJo there was so much of it. And lots of it was the Ghirardelli chocolate. Bummer.

We actually got a lot of candy. Sure tons of it was sour stuff and taffy, but hey, we like that too. We did get a fair amount of tootsie rolls and chocolate bars, whoppers etc. And, the Ghiradelli! I actually started just saying no thanks to apples and carrots and requesting chocolate, very nicely of course. One CM even directed me to the Ghiradelli cart

I'm glad you got the good stuff. You have a trip report too, I have to go check it out!

Welcome to day two, it's time for Magic Morning y'all!

Magic Morning was a very special treat for me, because as an AP holder and a broke person that can't afford to stay on Disney property, I haven't done Magi Morning since '05 or '06. So I have to say thank, thank, thank you Linda for getting me in! Magic Morning is the best, because not many people are willing to get up extra super early.

On this day, the park opened at 8 AM, since Magic Morning was at 7 AM, which means, I wanted to be at the gate by at least 6:40 AM. Luckily I woke up before my alarm clock went off, I didn't want to wake my roomie, she looked so peaceful passed out on her bed. The sun hadn't started rising yet, so the room was dark and I didn't want to turn any lights on and wake Cristabel. I don't know about you, but when I'm sleeping and someone turns on a light *bam* I'm awake. Of course, stumbling around in the dark makes a lot of noise, especially knocking over aerosol cans on a counter. Thankfully, I never woke my roomie up and I was able to tiptoe out of the room, just as it was starting to get light outside.

I saw the darnedest thing as I finished crossing over to the Disneyland side of Harbour Blvd. There was this woman who is was doing this fast kind of walk. I believe they call it jogging. She wasn't even being chased. Oh man, seriously though, I wish I had that kind of stamina, especially so early in the morning!

I made it to the main gate at about 6:45, where approximately 20 other people were waiting. So I took some pictures instead of getting right into line.

At this point I started getting phone calls. Seems nobody was ready for Magic Morning like me, so I was going it alone. At one point everyone (which was about 50 people at this point) was singing "Happy Birthday" and it made me think of Beth. After everyone sang, they started the countdown, and 10 seconds later, the park was open! I beelined for Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy and was able to walk right on. It was fun, and I'm glad I didn't have to wait in a huge line for it, but I definitely like the original better. After I got off SMGG, I ran into Kelly, who told me that she saw the Monkey Bride! Another believer! I didn't want to keep her, so I said my goodbyes and headed for Star Tours. If you didn't know, I'm a huge Star Wars fan. I can entertain myself for hours with Star Wars toys. This ride was also walk on and you got to pick your seat. I sat smack dab in the middle. I'm sad that they are changing it, but I'm interested to see what the new attraction will be like.

Those were really the only two rides I wanted to do that were open this early. I started walking around aimlessly.

Ran into Stacielee and her daughter...they were getting on Alice. Stacie told me that she saw the Monkey Bride, woo-hoo!!!

Went onto Toad's

After Toad's, I started taking some pictures.

I don't know how I keep finding spiders at Disneyland, but I do. I am absolutely petrified of the little buggers. Seriously, I turn to stone when I see one. I don't breathe or blink, I just stop and wait to see who makes the first move. I'm constantly being made fun off at work, because we get lots of spiders and I have to, as calmly as possible, find someone to remove them from my sight. The web is what I saw first, because the light was hitting it in a way that caught my attention.

OK kiddos, I'm going to leave it at that for now, I still have a little bit of MM to share, but I feel I'm coming up on my picture limit. So enjoy the spider and I'll fill you in on the rest later.

Yay - more from Wendell Sorry we bailed on the MM. Jesse just loves his sleep too much and I could not get him up and ready to go. I was the first one up - ask Stacielee!! And I'm so glad we found the Monkey Bride and were able to pass it around exactly where she was this year (although I did not get a pic as I am one of the rule followers and do not use flash photography and I can't figure out how to take a pic with my camera without it ).

I think Beth might owe us some candy for rubbing it in that she got lots of good stuff last year. Beth, you have my address???????

Yeah, I did get some pretty awesome candy when I was with you, but not even close to the amount, even though I know the odds weren't in my favor on that one.

I know how hard it is to get a family ready for MM. It's amazing my family ever made it to a MM, but I don't think we ever missed one that we had a chance to go to.

And yes, that spider was big, and scary.

No worries about MM, I completely understand. I didn't get a good picture of the monkey bride either, but I'm glad that Kelly did! It's too hard to take pictures on my camera without a flash, everything turns out blurry unless I have a tripod or flat surface.

Beth should send us candy, that's such a wonderful idea! You have my address too, right Beth?

Oh yeah it is, I think back in July I said I wanted to go, but probably wouldn't. I would love to go next month, I love when it's decorated for the holidays.

The other day I was in the kitchen and I felt something crawling down my back and I freaked the heck out. Turns out my hair tie had fallen down the back of my shirt.

I think they should keep one of the flight simulators the same, that way I can see the new one and still go back to the old one.

The zoom on my camera helped...A LOT. I had to have been at least 15+ feet away from that sucker.

I saw several spiders when we went to Mickey's ToT party last year. It was creepy. One of them was pretty big, no where near that big though, and it was right on the pay phone handle. Hope no one needed to use the pay phone.

Love the TR so far and it looks as though you all have a wonderful time together...someday maybe I will be able to join in on the Diva's only fun.

The spider pictures really creeped me out and I wonder if the are real or did Disney put them there to fit in with the Halloween theme...if they are fake they don't look like it and if I ran into a spider that big everyone around would have buzzing ears after my screams.

Hi Theresa! I hate that date stamp thing. I mean I like it for my records but always need to remove it to print and I don't know how. Hate it even more when the date is wrong though.

I love that the water was back in the castle moat for your trip. Your picture is great. I missed it my last two Oct. visits!

I am also dying to go to DL for XMas. I have pirate suite reserved and wanted to take my Mom, but she is so so about going, and Bill is so so about going. We are not flying, for sure. Guess we will see what the weather brings and if a driving trip is possible.
