I have obviously missed this somewhere, but has it been confirmed that adults are OK to be in costume for the parties? I have a friend who is asking whether I know for sure one way or the other.
Yes adults can dress up this year:banana::bounce:

Disney Visa holders will have to call when phone lines open... I woke up hoping we could get tickets, but not yet! Back to sleep I go!

From the tickets website:

*Costume Information: Disney reserves the right to deny admission to or remove any person wearing attire that is considered inappropriate or attire that could detract from the experience of other Guests. All Guests may dress as their favorite character, but must follow these guidelines as determined solely by Disney:
  • Costumes must be family-friendly and may not be obstructive, offensive, objectionable or violent.
  • Guests who dress like Characters may not pose for pictures or sign autographs for other Guests.
  • Costumes may not contain any weapons that resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon.
  • Costumes may not contain sharp objects, pointed objects or materials that may accidentally strike another Guest.
  • Layered costumes or costume props that surround the entire body are strongly discouraged and may be subject to additional security screening.
  • Costumes may not reach or drag on the ground (e.g., full-length Princess dresses).
  • For Guests ages 13 and younger:
    • Costumes and some masks may be worn, as long as the mask does not cover the entire face and eyes are visible.
  • For Guests ages 14 and older:
    • Capes may be worn if the length does not go below the waist.
    • Themed T-shirts, blouses, sweatshirts and hats are acceptable.
    • Acceptable accessories include: transparent wings, plastic light sabers, toy swords and tutus. Headwear may be worn as long as it does not cover the face.
    • Guests may not wear masks of any kind.

Has anyone else received a message that their ticket purchase could not be completed due to system availability? I am supposed to receive an email "soon" informing me of the status of my ticket order. This has never happened before. When I've purchased MHP tickets, the transaction went through right away. Frustrating.

Tickets are live for Annual Passholders who sign into their Disneyland account with AP linked as of midnight, 7/21/16!
Yay, thanks for letting us know! I wasn't expecting it until regular business hours, so this is awesome. I was up & online at 3 AM Disneyland time and was able to get my tickets for both the 10/5 & 10/10 parties! These will be my first Halloween parties. I can't wait!

No, mine went through immediately. I received a confirmation right away, it told me my e-tickets might take up to 24 hours to arrive, but my tickets about a minute later. I hope this is resolved soon *fingers crossed for you*

do the tickets say AP on them? My AP will laspe before party date and no use getting them if I can't get in without active AP

What time do the phones open? I've got the Disney Visa and wanted to call in to order.

Whoohoo... Called, got right in. Tickets purchased. FYI there is a $5 shipping fee. Good luck everyone and hope minimal hold times for all!

just got our tix online -- super easy! :stitch:

I already go our etickets!

Looks like we are going to TWO parties (our first time going to the party), now on to planning the costumes!!!

Good morning, everyone!
I don't have an AP but I do have a Disney Visa so I could get my party tickets today BUT I could also wait to see if they are offered through the Life Balance program at work for a discount. They say they usually get discounts but it's closer to Fall. It sounds like the general consensus is to buy party tickets ASAP but will they really sell out that quickly? I was looking at the sell out dates from last year and none were until August or September. I don't want to gamble because there is only one day we can go but I would also like to save money where I can...

Similar question here -- my sister and BIL want to join in the party but they're not APers and will likely be staying at a different hotel, making coordinating difficult that night. Can I buy their tickets for them now to use without our AP family having to tag along with them?

ETA: We'll want paper tickets, not eTickets, so I wonder if the paper tickets will have "AP" on them?

The Toontown pre-party begins about an hour before the "official" party start time. Last year the party officially started at 6:00pm on the day we went, but we were lined up in a special queue for Toontown around 4:45 and let in to the area around 5:00pm. There are a couple of treat trails and character meet and greets with Mickey & Minnnie, Chip & Dale, Goofy, Donald, Daisy, and Pluto all in their Halloween costumes. I'd go straight for the character lines (if you're interested in meeting characters) and then do those two treat trails as the character lines got long pretty quickly.

Great info! I hope they do this again this year. One week till I can buy my tickets!

etickets are paper ticket you can print out at home or show on your mobile phone and they do say AP on the eticket

You can buy up to 8 tickets with your AP and all the people you buy tickets for do not have to be AP holders, from what I have read

here are the terms and conditions on the tickets for costumes

Bought my tickets for our party! Whoo hoo! There is a $5 convenience charge attached to the order. Discounts for Disney Visa is only available on certain party nights such as Monday and Wednesdays, not for Friday's.

Wondering if you should call back in?? When I called before 8, there was no way to get on hold. Would hate for you to be stuck for no reason?? I called number on page 1 of this thread.
I called the regular 714 number at exactly 7 am and was still placed on the 39 minute hold.
