Heading down in October and was curious about Mickey's not so scary halloween party.

I (not being a Disney expert) thought that the only difference was the parks were all decorated for halloween. Is this something different - like trick-or-treating - that you need to purchase something seperately for?

Any experience with this?

On days when the MNSSHP are happening, the Magic Kingdom will close at 7. To stay beyond that, you need to buy a ticket to the party. During the party, there is a special Halloween themed Wishes fireworks, a Villain show (happens several times), a Halloween parade (happens twice), trick or treating, and character meet and greets that are not available at any other time. The ride lines are also shorter since there are fewer people in the park. The party is also the only time adults are permitted to wear costumes. If you purchase a ticket to the party, you are allowed to enter the park at 4 pm (without using a regular park ticket). The party ends at midnight.

We went and enjoyed it.
