Halloween Trick or Treat

We will be arriving on Halloween Day but the party that night is sold out. Someone said that we can trick or treat at Downtown Disney. Has anyone done this? What's it like?

I just looked (was curious if any other parties were sold out) and it is showing there are tickets avail for MNSSHP on Halloween

While the Halloween party always sells out, it's never sold out this early. I think it sold out in August last year, but normally it doesn't sell out until October. They don't do trick or treating at DTD anymore.
