Halloween Time at Disneyland, Oct 16-19. Lots Of Pictures! Trip Report Completed

What is a Clif bar?

It's just an energy bar. I get really moody and sick when I don't eat for awhile so I always have one on me.

I really do miss disneyland so much! On our last trip, we didn't ride the tram at all because we stayed at a hotel in walking distance. It's funny that I actually miss the tram ride. I guess I mostly miss the feeling I'd get every time as we'd approach the park.

Yay! Your trip is getting closer!

Yeah...it makes so sense that the witch has a shadow.

Good to know I'm not the only one that things that! :rotfl:

Cute halloween cup!

The napkins where Halloween themed too, I don't think I have any pictures of those though.

What exactly is a tinkerbell twist?

It's kinda like an icee with a mix of sour apple and sour cherry(?). It's REALLY sweet. If you've ever had the sour jolly ranchers, it's kinda like cold versions of those in liquid form.

Very nice pictures and trip report. How dare they not have the food you want. The meanies....:rotfl:

Thank you! I can't believe it took me about 1 hour just to find a place to eat! When I'm hungry though, my brain turns to mush and everything is 10x harder.

As a matter of fact, I do remember asking you. However at the time I didn't care enough to actually listen to your answer.

In fact, I don't care now. So forget it.

Go back to your monkeys.

Are you saying something? I can't hear anything over all your screeching...

Have you ever been so busy at Disneyland that you forget to eat and then the massive hunger hits? That's whe I can't find the food or the place to eat. It never fails.

Continuing on the trail around GRR, I landed once again in Candy Corn Acres :lovestruc
This time I took pictures of the sugary goodness!:

By this time it was almost 2 PM and I was exhausted. Seeing as I had failed to sleep the night before, I had been up for about 30 hours. I decided it was time to leave the parks for now and rest up for MToTP that night!

Up next: The Hotel!!!

After the first day I learned my lesson, the next few days I would be eating my way through the parks! :rotfl2:

And you call yourself a trip report writer??? :sad2:

Good thing I'm here to pick up your slack.

:lmao: THANKS! I was going to say that at least you can see a little bit of Minnie in the corn dog picture!

And I never claimed I was a trip report writer, so there! :snooty:

;)

My favorite tour. Eat your way through Disneyland. I am enjoying your trip report. Do you take notes at the end of the day so that you remember things?

No, I kinda started to, but that ended as soon as it began!

If it weren't for the pictures I wouldn't remember anything. If I see one picture and then the next picture is a different area or whatever, my brain can fill in the blank of what happened in between time. It's the only way I can remember anything. :confused3

You're right about the pictures. I can still look at the pictures from past trips and be filled with happy memories. I can see random pictures of the resort and have happy memories. Yes, yes I am a Disney dork. Right now I am a Disney dork who is in pain but a Disney dork no less.

Well, at least you can admitt to being a dork, I mean a DISNEY dork :rotfl:

OMG Sam the Eagle makes me laugh SO hard

I love your new pretty I heart Disney avatar.

Wendylady,
Sounds like you're having fun! Those corn-dogs... now I'm really wanting one of those!

Do you have any pics of the new concept art?

Once I got back to my car I was relieved to see that my iPod was in fact in there. After giving myself a good scolding I finally left to try and find my hotel. I would be staying at the Holiday Inn and Suites on Walnut. Yes, it was on the same block as the parking garage and yes, I did manage to get lost. :rolleyes1

I knew that the hotel would be under construction, but I didn't realize it would be to the extent that it was. After cautiously driving around I found where I was supposed to register, it was in a trailer that I had past. Finally I had my room key in my hand and was ready to pass out, unfortunately I knew I had to unpack my car first, which ended up being an adventure in and of itself. For the first time, and probably last time, ever I used a luggage cart. A maintains worker took pity on me and finally took over and brought my luggage to my room. :rotfl2: He was my hero! :worship:

How nice of me,I took pictures of the room for you all to see!:

Coming back out, the beds (Originally I was supposed to have one bed, but for whatever reason they wanted to depress me and give me two, so one was always empty, taunting me, those (insert unpleasant word here) ;)

Overall it was nice place to stay. They had vacancy and it was in my budget range so this is were I chose to stay. This was my first time staying here and if need be, I would stay here again, as long as I had my AP with the free parking! My only real complaints are that the ceiling in the bathroom and sink are are WAY too low! I'm 5'9" and I'm guessing the ceiling was about 7' high. That's just too low IMHO. Also, I had the hardest time getting my door to lock behind me! I'm glad I checked it the first time I left for the parks or I would've had an unlocked door!

Up next: MToTP!

I'm so glad your IPOD was in your car. The hotel doesn't look too bad. I have seen worse down there, heck we have stayed at worse. Remind me sometime to tell you the story about the trip from H E double tooth picks. Oh my the stories we could share.:rotfl: My carpal tunnel surgery is still hurting so I may just lurk for a while. I enjoy your writing style you put so much of your personality into it.:cutie:

Unpacking was a complete nightmare. My things were everywhere, the counter top was hidden under 1,000 different bottle and tubes of various things. Why in the world do I think I need so much stuff? The worst part is that I actually used everything I brought with me. That's probably because I actually took my time each morning to get ready. This was the first trip where I wasn't in a big rush. It truly was a vacation for me, the whole experience was very relaxing and just what I needed.

Once I unpacked everything I own in the world, I put on some pj's and hopped into bed. Hotel alarm clocks are not to be trusted, I don't really know why but don't trust them, so I set the alarm on my phone and got under the covers. Only problem now was that I couldn't sleep. Grrr. By now it was 3:00 PM and MToTP started at 6:30 and I desperately wanted some sleep. I flipped through the channels a few hundred times and nothing good was on, so I grabbed my iPod and surfed the DIS for awhile and lost some more rounds of solitaire. Now it was just after 4. The debate started in my head: "I should just stay up, if I fall asleep I'll sleep through the party" "Yeah, but if you don't sleep, you wont enjoy the party and you'll just want to go back to the room." "I know, but I'm SO tired. "You can't sleep anyways." "You know if you fall asleep you're going to miss the party." "I know, but I really am SO tired!" That's about as far as I got before I passed out. My phone rang about 30 minutes and I answered it in a daze. It was my mom, and she knew I had been sleeping so she just said a quick hi and bye and let me go back to sleep. As soon as I set my phone down I was out again. After that, I ended up sleeping through my phone ringing 6 times and my alarm. For whatever reason though I woke up at 6:00 PM. The only thing I can figure out is that there must have been some loud noise somewhere that woke me up. I looked at the clock and debated rather to just keep sleeping and miss the party or to just get up and go.

Finally, I kicked back the covers and started to get ready. I knew I would be disappointed if I missed it and it's something I've never done before so I'm happy that I decided to go. I took a quick shower and then got dressed and did my makeup, I didn't bother to do my hair, but looking at the picture of Beth and I, I probably should have taken the time. Tonight (like every night) I decided I was going to be a angel.

There isn't really any pictures from this night, but here is one of how I did my eye makeup:
IMG_1083.jpg

It was about 6:30 when I finally left my room and headed to the Mickey and Friends parking structure. tonight I would be on the top level, which has amazing views, especially at night when all the rides are lit up. It was a little strange walking through the parking lot dressed up, but once I got to the tram loading area, I felt a little better because there were a few other adults dressed up. As the tram left, I pulled out my phone and saw there was a text from Beth! :woohoo: I called her once I got into DCA and we made plans to meet by Corn Dog Castle/Heaven. The little devil was right where she said she would be! We talked for awhile and then I got to meet her school, I mean family. Her kids are great and very well behaved, the twins are adorable, so is everyone else and they were all a lot of fun. Beth was nice enough to humor me and let me tag along with her and her family. It was lots of fun and I had a REALLY good time.

The decorations they had up at DCA were great. The graphics they put up on the side of the big rides and the various ones on walls and projected on the street were awesome! Hollywood Backlot and Paradise Pier seemed to always be crowded. It was fun seeing all the characters dressed up for Halloween, for some reason Goofy's costume was my favorite. Maybe it was just the way he moved around in it, or something like that. :rotfl:

Some weird lady wanted to take a picture with me:
DSCF5955-1-1.jpg

Thank goodness for the crop function!

We made one last run through the Animation Studio and then Beth and I talked some more while Ruben(Beth's husband-as if you didn't know) and the kids waited in line to get their picture taken with some princesses. princess: After that, we all walked out together and said our TTFNs. The lines for the tram made me want to cry. If memory serves correctly, I was able to get onto the third round. Sitting back in my seat, I was ready to cry from exhaustion. For awhile I was scared I was going to fall asleep and fall right out of the tram! Eventually I made it back to the room. At this point I was ready to just pass out on the bed, but I knew I had to take a shower first - I used lots of shimmer and glitter and I didn't want it all over the bed. After my shower, I jumped (not literally of course) under the covers, checked the DIS again (hey, you always need to be in the know, don't judge me), didn't bother to set my alarm, and passed out.

Don't be jealous of my pile :rotfl: :

Up next: Day 2!!!

Great updates!! :thumbsup2

I think your hotel room looks really nice. Although that pic of the kids is very annoying. And why did you need so much stuff for one person??? LOL Unlike me, I never over pack. :rolleyes1
You might want to see someone about those conversations you have with yourself though. They have meds for that. ;)

I'm glad we got to meet up that night. And thanks for lying and saying you had fun and my kids were well behaved. I owe you one. :rotfl:

Seriously, I was worried that whole time that you were bored. My kids had done the rides that day earlier and we were going back to DCA on Saturday so they were all about the candy. Didn't want to dance, no rides, just on a candy mission. And they succeeded too!! I told you to take some of ours. LOL

Oh yeah, and I loved your eye make-up. I noticed that right away. But I know you are no angel. Our roles were reversed that night. I'm usually an angel, and you.......ahem. No comment. :rolleyes1

That hotel room looks pretty nice. Was it noisy at all? That painting is creepy.

I always pack tons of things and I usually use most of them. I wish I knew how to pack light but I've never been able to.

I never use hotel alarm clocks either. I trust my phone more.

Cute eye makeup!

What was goofy's costume? You didn't take any photos at the party?

Whenever we saw insane amounts of people waiting for the tram, we'd just walk to the parking lot if we weren't too tired. It only takes maybe 10 minutes so sometimes it was quicker.

So I don't really know much about the party...do they just hand out candy to people or what?
