Ahhhh!!!!! Give it back, give it back! Stop stealing my thunder!

If my boss doesn't give me Friday off, I'll just call in sick!!! :rotfl:

Just make sure you call BEFORE you get to DLR. I don't think your boss will quite believe you if you call from Main Street and she can hear the music/people in the background.
I really hope that you can go! Maybe you should have bought an extra ticket and invited your boss to go along with you???

:rotfl:
I can just tell her I'm watching a Disneyland documentary!!! I'll be sure to call her while I'm hiding under the sheets of my hotel bed. ;)
I hope I get to go!!!!!

Since I'm stuck late at work again, I'll go ahead and fill my time talking about Disneyland. :yay:

This part will be about attractions and my opinions on them (I know you're just dying to know what I think):

First off we have-
Haunted Mansion Holiday!
101_0521.jpg

OK, I'm not the biggest fan of this one. I think it's cool that they did something different with it, but you can't beat the original. I tolerate this one though, because it's not permanent. Should Disney ever make it permanent, then I'm burning that mansion down.

Next we have-
Space Mountain!
DSCN0153.jpg

I LOVE Space Mountain! That picture is from my niece's first time on the ride, she loves it just as much as I do! Once upon a time I was absolutely petrified of this ride. I mean kicking a screaming if my parents even dared to try get me in that line. I kept that act up until I was 16! Then I finally rode, and yep you guessed it, I LOVED it!

Then there's always-
The Teacups!
DSCN0156.jpg

These are a lot of fun! Seeing as I'm going by myself, I probably wont be riding these. I'm a fast spinner, I love to spin, don't try to take the wheel away from me.

The evil-
Tarzan's Tree House
DSCN0352.jpg

If someone says lets do this, then I will. I'll admit it's fun to look at all the different things, but I'm not about to offer a climb up this tree to anyone. If you need a good laugh then ask me to climb it with you, otherwise this is one tree I wont be up in.

Adventure on-
Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer's Island
P1010014.jpg

I think this one will be fun to do on my own. Lots of good photo opportunities over on that island. I preferred TSI from years past, but all I can do is grumble about that to myself.

For the little ones-
Gadget's Go Coaster
IMG_1467.jpg

I LOVED LOVED LOVED going on this with my niece! She loved it SO much and wanted to go on it over and over again...and for once it wasn't PoTC she was begging to go on! :cheer2: I was once scared of this ride too (I was a BIG baby, it must have been the churros that kept me going back). I doubt I'll go on this by myself...unless there's a short line...which I don't count on.

Big Thrills-
Splash Mountain
SpalshMountain11407.jpg

I have a total love/hate relationship with this ride. I love it, I really do, but I HATE getting wet with that dirty, yucky green water!!!! Since I don't weigh 100lbs, I ALWAYS get wet and usually end up with that water in my mouth...when, oh when, will I learn to clothes my mouth!?

OK, that's all for now. Just wanted to do a little something while we all await the outcome of whether or not I'm actually going!

I love all the pictures!! So when will you find out if you are going or not???? Or are you going to make some of us just come and kidnap you? :rolleyes1

First off we have-
Haunted Mansion Holiday!

I am NOT a big fan of change but I absolutely love what they did with the HM overlay. I agree though.. it has it's place in the land of temporary. That's what makes it even more special to see. Sort of like how Capt Barbosa and Jack Sparrow should be seen temporarily in the Pirates and the REAL Pirates should be in that battle scene for most of the time!

Next we have-
Space Mountain!

I love the new SM... that is the MOST awesome update

Then there's always-
The Teacups!

It makes me SO mad that I cannot do spinning rides anymore! :furious:

My mom and my uncles (her brothers) could still get that thing (teacup) whipping around at 90MPH WAY into their 40's. I remember being 29 and I got off the Spider ride at a carnival and being sick for the day  I thought I had food poisoning.. it never occured to me that I, MELISSA, would be ILL on a ride!!!!! :scared1: But, that's the way it goes.

The evil-
Tarzan's Tree House

If someone says lets do this, then I will. I'll admit it's fun to look at all the different things, but I'm not about to offer a climb up this tree to anyone. If you need a good laugh then ask me to climb it with you, otherwise this is one tree I wont be up in.

I always need a good laugh... I'll share this with you: it's a long story.. bear with me. My DDC (age 11) was wearing a really cute hat to school yesterday morning (she's a 17 yr old wrapped up in a tween body) and she also had new cute tennis shoes with pastel and bright colored Skulls and crossbones (all the rage)... so her sister says, "Cassy, you can't wear hats to school" (first year in Jr High) and so she throws the hat off and says, "GREAT, Now I don't look like I'm should be in a music video... I only look like I have NEW SHOES!"

:lmao:

OMG it cracked me up.

Ok, moving on... I used to have a fetish for stairs and always wanted to do the treehouse but my mom wouldn't let me (Waste of time when there's rides to do!). This last trip I let my DD's do it alone as my shins were splinting. :sad1: I still like it though. I would do it with you for the laughs :rotfl:

Adventure on-
Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer's Island

I think this one will be fun to do on my own. Lots of good photo opportunities over on that island. I preferred TSI from years past, but all I can do is grumble about that to myself.

As I said, I am not a fan of change. I do like some of the cute new pirate stuff. But from what I remember, didn't Tom Sawyer have a pirate run in?? Couldn't it have still been Tom Sawyer's pirate run in lair??? :rotfl2:

For the little ones-
Gadget's Go Coaster
]

For a tiny coaster, Gadget can be fun (if the line is short, as you said).

Big Thrills-
Splash Mountain

I have a total love/hate relationship with this ride. I love it, I really do, but I HATE getting wet with that dirty, yucky green water!!!! Since I don't weigh 100lbs, I ALWAYS get wet and usually end up with that water in my mouth...when, oh when, will I learn to clothes my mouth!?[/QUOTE]

Splash, I LOVE. But, I know this will not be a popular opinion.... I like the ORIGINAL at Knott's Berry Farm. The one, the ONLY, Log Ride. However, Splash Definitely has cuter insides. I'm a sucker for the nostalgia of those loggers though... yup, sucker. :cloud9:

I love the face of the little girl in the front of your Splash pic! :lmao:

Thanks for sharing opinions with us!

I love all the pictures!! So when will you find out if you are going or not???? Or are you going to make some of us just come and kidnap you? :rolleyes1

Ooooh...you should kidnap me either way! That way I wont have to drive alone. :rotfl:

In my, seemingly, never ending quest for a costume, I stumbled upon this beauty:

You don't even know how badly I want to be that Tiki cup! There's even a umbrella hat!!!!!

Of course I would have to fill myself up with alcohol! :rotfl:

I like it!! It's fun and clever. But you do realize it's not pink and sparkly....:rolleyes1

Ahhh! I don't want to get old! I want to stay young forever!!!!

I always need a good laugh... I'll share this with you: it's a long story.. bear with me. OMG! That is too funny! Gotta love teens and the things they say!

We should let Tarzan know before hand, so he can come rescue me! ;)

Hmmm...I actually don't remember, but I do remember playing with the guns! That was always fun!

I love the face of the little girl in the front of your Splash pic! :lmao:

:rotfl: That's my eldest niece! That was her first time on the ride! I'm glad she got to ride in the front before they started the hight restriction of the front passenger on the ride!

When I was younger and refused to go on Splash Mountain, my parents told me Minnie Mouse was at the top of the ride...and I believed them, so I went. When I discovered Minnie Mouse was not actually at the top of the ride, I hide under the front of the log (which is no longer possible, because they put a block there). When they got the picture, they couldn't figure out what happened to me! I still, to this day, remember hiding under the front of that log!!!!

Thanks for sharing opinions with us!

Thank you for reading them!!!!

That's just wrong. Tiki Cups should not be pink and sparkly. Ever. :sad2:

OK, Mrs. Diet Pepsi
I'll take your opinion into consideration when I actually see you drinking alcohol!

So, I ended up going to the character warehouse today (or I guess, technically I went yesterday) and I got some really fun stuff! I spent $64, but if I had spent the price that Disneyland was selling the stuff for it would have been $169 plus tax! So I'm a happy girl. I got two things for myself: a Tink short sleeved hoodie and a Tink plate. I also got a Tink plate for one of my BFF's because she's a big fan of Tink too! The rest of the stuff I got is for my niece's for Christmas.
Here's a picture of everything I got:
IMG_0945.jpg

...and now I'm off to bed, because I'm beyond exhausted, it's been a very long day and I have to be up in 4 and a half hours. :faint:

No way man! I'm waiting for you to pass out then I'm going to tie your shoelaces together and then steal all your money and go buy a month's supply of Diet Pepsi. :rolleyes1
Have you ever seen someone drunk trying to walk with their shoelaces tied together and they don't know it??? They are tripping and falling all over the place. :lmao: :lmao:

Oh, but a word of caution.......don't do that while camping and a bonfire is nearby. :scared1: :sad2:

So what did your boss say? Come on, don't leave us hanging!
Did you have to threaten her with all sorts of vile things till she agreed to let you go? Will you need to call in sick? Do we need to start a "Free Wendylady Petition"?

A month's supply? Do you only drink one can a month? Heck, I don't even know if I would have enough for one whole can. ;)

Should I start filing a restraining order now?

Cute finds at the Disney store!! I love the Tink hoodie. :tinker:

The Tink plate and hoodie are my favorites! Probably because I got them for myself! I'm wearing the hoodie right now and it's just SO comfy. I swear they were trying to hide them from me. They were hanging in the back of the store on the bottom of the wall in a dark corner. That's OK though, because if they were obvious to the eye then they probably would've been sold out.

So what did your boss say? Come on, don't leave us hanging!

OMG! I was totally planning on asking for the time off today, but she's not even here!

Your plan sounds good though! Lets start that petition!!!!:cheer2:

That is pretty rude of her to not even be in today after beeing gone for a whole month:mad: Does she not realize that her staff has lives of their own?
What is her e-mail address so that we can start this petition?

Beth,
THat sounds like the voice of experience talking!

Wendy... that zip up sweat shirt is SO cute (so is the tank and all the other stuff)!

I just got my DD's each a pair of Jeans from the Disney store... one had a rhinestone Minnie on the bottom of the pant leg, the other one Tink (I'll post pics sometime) each pair was $7!!!! OMG SEVEN BUCKS! Woo hoo! :woohoo:
