My husband is going to be in Orlando in the fall for a convention. He's contemplating going to the Not So Scary Halloween Party. It starts at 7pm, but can you get in an hour or two early with your event ticket?

Ohhh I know , I know!!!

You can get in at 4 pm with your MNSSHP ticket!!! We are going again this year!! SOOO Much fun!

Whether you are planning a large Halloween party or a small Halloween get-together at home, you can use this party planner as a guide to stay organized, keep within budget and ensure a good time for all of the teens at the party. Halloween is such a fun time for kids. They can use their creativity by stepping into a new identity and have a blast with their friends. I have found that teens really enjoy this time of year.

When we went to MVMCP they let us in around 4pm... but they were not doing the wrist bands that early. We had to go back to Main St. later (around 6) to get our wrist bands.

Actually...I called to day to get more info on this b/c we need to buy our tickets soon for MNSSHP...the cast member mentioned in the conversaion that starting THIS year, we cant get in umtil 7 pm...I asked him 2 times to verify...urgh!!! and waaaahh!

If we are going to the Halloween Party, do we need park admissions for that day as well? We have plans to golf in the in morning and then rest in the afternoon until it is time to leave for the Party, and we were wondering is we have to use a park admission just for that evening if we already have park tickets?

it is a special engagement. you have to buy a separate ticket. they will start having people leave without the wristband on at a certain time.

Phone CMs are notorious for giving out incorrect information.

I'm really confused about the whole Halloween party thing. I hope someone can help me out. This is our first trip to WDW and so I have no clue how all of this works. We are adding one day at MK after we get back from our disney cruise in the middle of Sept. and would like to attend the party. I apologize in advance for all of the questions but I can't seem to find a thread that explains this well enough for my simple brain.

So is the park open at the normal start time that day? Are the one day tickets cheaper since the park isn't open as late as normal due to only party guests being allowed after a certain time?

How late does the party go and are there fireworks at the end of the night?

We are coming to MK right after we get off the cruise ship, so I think noon is the soonest we can get there. Since this is our first trip and we wanted to experience a full day at MK which would be better.....

Going the day after we arrive and spending from park open to close on a regular Friday and miss the Halloween party completely? or

Showing up at noon and then buying tickets to the Halloween party and staying until the party time is over?

Any help or thoughts is appreciated!

That's just a rumor, the same rumor that runs this time every year. There's been no official confirmation that they will not let people in at 4:00 p.m., as they have in previous years. After the first party in September, many Disers will be reporting back. If there is an issue with the 4:00 entry time, it will be all these boards.

No, you do not need park admission and you should be able to enter at 4:00 p.m. on your party ticket.

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is a separate hard ticket event. You do not need regular park admission to attend. The official party time is 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., but in the past you have always been able to enter at 4:00 p.m. with your party ticket. The party has special Halloween fireworks and a special parade that are only shown at the party.

As far as what day to do MK, I guess that would come down to how much money you want to spend and also that you can no see the entire MK in one day, if you are arriving at noon - even if you are staying late to do the Halloween party.

No, there is no discount on the day's admission to MK because it's a shorter day. Think about it- in the summer or holiday season MK may be open until midnight, but in the off season it may close at 6 or 7pm. The ticket cost is the same either way.

I too have gotten conflicting information from WDW that, yes, you can get in at 4 if the park is slow, and then I called back and was told that starting this year they will be turning people away because it isn't fair to those who paid for a reg ticket for the day. Has anyone gone yet this year and gotten in early? I have two young children so don't want to show up early and get turned away because they would be upset and then I would have to find something to do with them for 3 hrs before we could get in.

The exact same thing has been posted on here every year for as long as I've been here. It hasn't happened yet.

Sadly, it's a really terrible idea to call WDW and ask questions about policies. You will almost certainly get bad information.
