I'm a pretty regular visitor to both DL and DCA - but will finally be there next week for one day each park at Halloween time (not the Oggie Boogie Bash - but DCA at night on another night). If you have any "must see/do/taste" Halloween suggestions, they would be sooooo appreciated. Thank you!

Carsland lights coming on at night is a cool experience during Halloween. The Mater and Luigi rides in Carsland have special Halloween soundtracks. Haunted Mansion Holiday is great- you may want to do this first with the way the lines have been.

Yes, the sunset Cars Land lighting is always fun, but they change the lights for Hallowe'en. There are also other makeovers along Route 66 that are fun to look for.

Be sure to check out the Halloween Tree in Frontierland, as well! It’s one of my favorite sights in the park. And we also love the Dapper Dans’s Halloweentime performances!

(Note: 2022 Trip) Had a nice trip - thanks for the suggestions. Our favorite Halloween thing was definitely the Haunted House Halloween - it was sooo different and even more fun than usual. The night show at Disneyland (we only caught the one at the castle) was excellent, way better than expected, and they do have some graphics on Main Street buildings during the show if you want to see it from there instead of right in front of the castle. In DCA, the Monsters After Dark (the Guardians Ride) was different as well, slightly different theme and more drops according to fellow riders, but probably not as big of a deal whether we rode that one or the earlier version in the day. We made sure to be in the Cars Land area at sunset, but found the lights-on show to be ho-hum. But an excuse to stop to eat, and the cars ride after dark, due to the lighting, was great!

For 2023 --- Does anyone have any fun updated suggestions for either park at Halloween Time (non Oggie Boogie Bash) to add - rides, sights, munchies?

Figured might be new stuff this year for those going during the season but unable to get OBB tickets?

Definitely the Guardians After Dark ride since it changes from the daytime ride. Carsland at night. Enjoy all the decorations and Halloween treats.

Do they still have the sleeping creature in the cave just past Big Thunder or did that stop a few years ago when they put in Galaxy's Edge? I remember it being a cool small thing when we did Halloween back in 2018.
