Thinking about attending this year can anyone give me any info about previouse HHN? What time does it start & end? Is it at both Universal and IOA? If I buy a 1 day pass can I upgrade my ticket to attend HHN that night? Thanks.

Welcome! :thumbsup2

HHN usually begins in late September...best guess is 9/21 will be opening night this year and runs until 10/31. As far as hours go...most non-peak nights (Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday) HHN is from 6:30pm until 1am and Friday and Saturday nights are until 2am. Hours are subject to change of course.

Since 2006, HHN is exclusively at the Studios and should be again this year.

You aren't really "upgrading" your theme park ticket per se since HHN is a hard ticket event and requires a separate ticket for entry but you most certainly can purchase the HHN ticket for that night at a reduced rate. This is known as the Stay & Scream upgrade. Your theme park ticket allows you to purchase the HHN ticket at the discount. This will also allow you to stay in the park after closing in the S & S holding area. In the holding area, you can purchase drinks and light foods until they release the area. You will be released into the park earlier than the general public and will have the opportunity to see several houses before the lines get backed up.

Many more threads will appear between now and then so make sure you keep your eyes on the boards.

Thanks Metro West! Just the info I was looking for. I will keep checking the Boards!

if you do a search in this forum, you will be able to pull a few of the hhn threads that many have posted on.

it is better to stay in the park and wait in the s & s holding area.
you are released prior to opening of this event.
should be able to do the first 3 houses before 6:30.

if you buy the add on ticket/hhn, and leave the park and not return until 5:00, you will have to wait in the line that is outside the park gate.
that is the general line that will be let in at 6:30 pm when hhn opens officially.

It is BEST to stay in Finnegan's and listen to the band, have a few drinks, good food, and wait to be released. :drinking:

We are going back this yearl! Can't wait to hear the theme!! :yay:

If you are in the park on the day of the HHN but are not attending, will you be asked to leave like you are at Disney? :confused3

Ya know - this looks delicious.

I have to say though, it always ruffles me a bit to see Killian's included with the Irish brews. They make Killians in Golden Colorado at the Coors Brewery. I've tasted it there fresh from the tap - it's delicious.

I wouldn't really care, but I really don't like when the bars around here lump it in with the "Imports" and charge more for it. At least the Guiness, Harp, and Bass are true imports.

From Wikipedia...

George Killian's Irish Red is a 4.9% abv amber lager brewed by Coors, and widely distributed in the US. The brand name was purchased from the Pelforth Brewery in France, who had previously bought it from Lett's Brewery in Ireland, which had closed in 1956.

We're planning our first trip to HHN this year and I'm so excited. Can't wait till more information is available. I have lots of ticket questions --- I know it's early. I'm obsessed.

We (me, husband and 18 year old son) will be at RPR 4 nights Wed-Sat. How many nights will we need to see the whole HHN? Thinking about doing HHN wed and thurs because less crowds or should we do fri and sat too? also thinking about a tour...also wondering how much money an APH ticket would save me on HHN tickets. Oh, and do the property hotels usually offer an APH discount during October?

Sorry so many questions. No rush to answer...I have 6 long months to decide :)

What age is this appropriate for? I have a 5year old that loves Halloween. Her favorite ride is ToT at Disney and loves scary movies like Coraline and nightmare before Christmas. Any advice would be appreciated.

HHN is not appropriate for anyone under the age of thirteen or so...five is way too young. Would you let her watch an R-rated horror movie with blood, guts and gore? That's what you get at HHN not to mention the scareactors jumping at you and generally being in your face. I don't see a five year old responding too well. Your best bet would be MNSSHP at the MK until she's old enough to try HHN.

We will be at Universal Sun Oct 21 and Mon Oct 22 this year. Are the weekdays they have the HHN from year to year the same?
I hope so or I'll need to move some stuff around to fit it in. I will not miss this event, it was so amazing back in '10 we are planning our whole central Florida vacation around it again.
