Any idea when these dates are announced? We are trying to plan a trip for late Sept/early Oct and would love to have a Thursday night Halloween Horror night in there. It's hard to tell from last year if 9-30 would be a night that HHH might be happening.

The dates won't be announced until sometime this summer. You can use last year's dates as a guide but 9/30 should be an HHN night.

I'm doing the same! Hopefully... I don't know when dates are announced but don't HHN normally start late September, so... 9/10 sounds possible! (we went in 2009 on the 8th Oct!)

HHN usually starts on the last Friday in September so September 10th is too early.

They write the date differently in Europe, so I think they meant Oct 9th. ;)

That`s true we do.

We will be arriving on the 17th August this year.....I would write that as 17/08/2011 normally, but on American sites I try to remember to write it as 08/17......can be confusing :confused3

Leave it to Carole to confuse us! :rotfl:

I offer my most humble apologies for mixing up 9/10 and 10/9.

This is confusing me now.

Thanks so much for your help. It sounds like we should be good that first weekend of October. Are the crowds smaller at the beginning of HHH versus the end? Are there any benefits to staying on property for that event other than proximity to the party?

Yes the crowds are smaller earlier in the run, but its more like its very crowded early and jam packed later in the month. still a hoot!

According to the park hours for September, it looks like HHN will start on Sept. 23rd, which means 2 weekends in September this year.

Yes...which is fairly unusual.

No benefits for staying onsite except you're closer to the parks...no special benefits are extended to onsite guests for HHN.

Halloween night is on a Monday this year ~ will they have Horror Nights on Monday because it's Halloween?
I'd love to go *on* Halloween night. (despite the crowds! LOL)

Yes they will. HHN has always been open on halloween night regardless
of the day of the week.
