Halloween Horror Nights 2003

Hi, my husband and I are going for the first time to Halloween Horror Nights this year and we have no idea what to expect. Any insight is much appreciated. Thanks a bunch.

Ok, back to the question at hand !!
HHN is lots of fun !! Spooky, fog enshrouded, chainsaw- weilding maniac fun!!!!
Expect haunted houses (dark & big on the "surprise" scares), expect lots of spooky scareactors running around all over the park, it really is a TON of fun, but a PG-13 event, so a little more on the scary side. Last year there were "torture stations" set up in the Port of Entry (which was transformed to the Port of EVIL!!)
Lots of fun, especially if you are a horror fan !!!

we will be in HRH from 10/30 thru 11/2 - want to go to horror nights but need to know where to buy (if I need them) additional tickets for entry.

my kids are 12 & 13. is it appropriate?

any info on evening would be appreciated

Yes, it is a separate ticket.
Yes, many discounts are available.
Yes, you can upgrade your tickets in-park,
No, your room key will not be valid for express during the night.

As for your kids, if they like scary stuff, they should like HHN. I've seen YOUNG kids go (8 or under) and some love it, while some are scared out of their mind.

I will be going to HHN for the first time, this october. I was told to buy my tickets for HHN in advance, because it's a pretty popular event, and may sell out for the days that I'm there. You can buy your tickets for HHN online at Universals website.

anyone know which IOA rides are actually open on this night
I know a lot of stuff in the park is modified, but are ALL the rides open, or does anyone know wabout what is open and closed...
etc...

If you are going to HHN on a busy night I highly recommend the VIP tour. We took it last year and it was GREAT and well worth the $$$. I think it was around $100 each, it was kind of wasted on my daughter,9, who was too scared to go in the Haunted Houses, but she stayed outside each haunted houses with our guide, that way we were able to enjoy the haunted houses together.

I actually got a chance to go on employee preview and thought it was okay this year. I wished they had done a little more with the POE scare zone, bust as far as everything else, the Lost Continent is the coolest and the Bill and Ted's show is AWESOME this year. VERY funny, just watch it with an open mind and don't get your pants all in a bunch about it, like some people are!!
