Halloween, fireworks and Christmas oh my! November Quiz Information

good evening everybody.

Tomorrow (when real life is not dragging me out of the house), I will be starting my November quiz with today's question and also tomorrow's question to catch up on where we should be.

For the most part, the standard DLRP DIS quiz rules apply. For anybody who doesn't know these, they are:

- I will post a new question roughly once a day
- you work out the answer, send the answer to me in a private message, then make a post saying "pm sent" on that days question thread
- after about a week, I will post the answer to the question and people who got the correct answer will be awarded some points

This is where things get a little different this month...

There will be the usual prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places at the end. In addition to these, there will be a small prize for the person who scores the highest in each week (roughly). I've done this because people often seem to struggle to play an entire quiz, so I've tried to make it worth playing, even for those people who will only be around for 1 or 2 weeks.

If you win a main prize, then you are not elligble for a small prize and you can only win 1 prize each (either 1 main or 1 small). This means that there is a total of 7 prizes up for grabs this month.

I will give this a go . I always seem to start, then I find the questions get really difficult and give up I have a feeling this one's gonna be even tougher

I'm hoping that some of the questions aren't tooo hard and that some others will be very hard to "know", but not too hard to google.

I have noticed though - everybody seems to suggest that I'm going to intentionally make this quiz extremely difficult. Some questions might be, but I'm hoping a lot of them will be findable through google without too much difficulty.

I've been trying to write my assignment for my MSc, which has occupied almost all of my weekend. It's due in mid-day tomorrow and kind of snuck up on me, so I'm aiming to have a big catchup on the questions I've missed out - hopefully tomorrow evening
