For those of you that have traveled on Halloween Day or late October, how crowded are the ships? Are the kids clubs full ?

We are going on the Fantasy on 10-31-15. I still see a lot of veranda rooms available.

Howdy! just wanted to say Hi! :) we are sailing with you on the Fantasy on the 31st - very excited, it's our first cruise, just DH and myself celebrating our 25 anniversary! hopefully our ship won't be overly full it would be nice to have a little "wiggle room" :) Have an amazing cruise!

We sailed last year (Dream) on a Halloween cruise and will be on the Dream this month during Halloween itself. Didn't notice the
ship any more crowded than at other times we sailed.

when is jersy week this year? we sailed that one year (early november) and it was very busy!

We went on a cruise over Halloween several years ago, and it was amazing. My kids loved trick or treating around the ship. I don't remember the ship being any more crowded than the other cruises we have taken. I loved how so many people (kids and adults) dressed up on Halloween. It was fantastic!

Jersey week is the 31st - Nov 8th and lots of Jersey families are on that sailing - including us :) 30 more days!

well that should then answer the ops question about business. when we sailed during jersey week half the ship were there for it. you all seem to have a very good time, enjoy your cruise. it will be here before you know it. 30 days goes by fast. ::yes::

Not arguing, but Jersey week has been decided for a long time correct? There's still a lot of space available on the cruise that sales on October 31

your absolutely right, it has been out for a while. i'm looking at cruise fish and i'm not seeing a lot available. most catagories are sold out and when I go to dcl most cats are in guarantee status.

to me, it doesn't look like there is as much as some may think and I would bet if they do have a lot that there will be fl res rates or military rates to fill the ship. there will not be a lot left. jmo. I do know that the week we were there it was very full. it was the second leg of a b2b and the first week was calmer than the second. that could have been a one off, who knows. i'm sure all will have a great time. whats not to love about cruising with or without a full ship. :flower3:

Sorry. This cruise just got a little fuller. Just booked three deluxe family rooms with verandah.

This will be our 3rd Halloween on the Fantasy! Every year seemed to be very crowded! Didn't know this was considered jersey week! We are from Jersey too! :)

i'm sailing on the dream on the 30th and i can't wait. This will be our first cruise and its sold out. I'm just hoping the adult water areas won't be too bad and I can soak up the rays there :)

What exactly is Jersey week? A bunch of people from New Jersey decide to vacation at that time? This won't become a Bon Jovi themed cruise will it? :)

lol. i have sailed this week several times and the best i can figure out is that its teacher conference time for the new jersey area so all the kids get the week off. the ships know its jersey week and during the first show the cd will ask how many are on jersey week. the response is massive. they do know how to have a good holiday.

seriously, its not a problem. its the same as any sailing except half are from the same area.

I have cruises a few times on Halloween and I don't think they sell all the rooms (usually get MTO). However, there a lot of kids due to it just being Halloween. It's a nice cruise. They have numerous activities including decorations. All IMHO only.

The NJEA convention is in Atlantic City NJ and most schools have either the entire week off or part of the week off. It used to be a more affordable time to travel because it wasnt summer or winter or spring break but each year the prices go up. This year flights from NY/NJ were insane for this week.
