Hi

I really want the kids to see Halloween & Chrismas in US & would love to go the Halloween party @ DW. If we were to go to Disneyword October 30th, 31st & stay for 14 days would we get to see the Christmas decorations too?

yes - I've done that - such a good time of year. I arrived on 28 October and stayed until 10 Nov. In 2011, Christmas began Tuesday of the 2nd week of Nov. so there was about a 5 day gap between finishing all the Halloween parties and slowly removing things till there was nothing then suddenly you wake up with tinsel everywhere! Not all the Christmas decorations go up so early - they do a very good job, but hotels are not really done, the gingerbread things are not built, the MK Christmas tree does not go up until after they film the Christmas Day Parade in the first week of December (OOOO Today!)
You'll also catch the last week of the Food and Wine Festival.
And the first show of the Osbourne lights and MVMCP, last few shows of MNSSHP.
The fort Fiends were still in halloween mode
In 2012 I went early Dec and there were far more christmas decorations and all the Epcot santas / candlelight processional / gingerbread things etc were fully underway. I enjoyed both visits!
weather is fantastic
great time to go - DO IT!

Thanks for that information. Definitely want to be there for MNSSHP. Did you go to either of the last 2 shows? Was it extremely busy?

I went to the 31 Oct MNSSHP and they had another on 1 Nov.

I don't think they are that crowded - certainly less people than a normal day at the parks. by late evening (after the fireworks) everything was a walk on.

I suppose the trick was - get in early, pick your favourite photo thingy and do that first - for me the Dwarves. I got in the queue at 6:15pm. they got underway at 7pm and raced through the photos - was through the queue and out into the party quickly. The Treat or Treat queues moved very quickly too - as in constant shuffling through.

the most crowded bit is the parade - but it is SO WORTH IT! best parade I've ever seen at Disney.

go in costume - at least 1/3 of people do.

I went to the first MVMCP and it was marginally quieter than MNSSHP. Meant i didn't have do MK with any day time crowds.
