We have so much Halloween candy we could feed an army! What do you all do with the tons of treats your kids get, do you limit their intake, do you freeze some, throw it out or give it away? DS was getting so hyper from the sugar (I think) so we limited him to two pulls from the candy bowl a day, but at that rate we will have candy laying around forever.

:bounce::wave::bounce:

We give away candy they don't want, or can't eat like the sticky chewy stuff.
The other, they eat it until it's gone, but sometimes that's not for a year.
They are very good with it.

But I guess they know they wouldn't be allowed to eat it all in one day. They get a few pieces a day and they're fine. It hasn't been an issue in forever though. thankfully :) One battle I don't have to fight.

I let them eat it whenever they want. In fact it has been dinner one night. :D
After 3 days of binging they can't stand to look at it anymore.

I don't limit the candy-just the chocolate. DS can eat
what he wants as long as he only has one chocolate
per day and at the end of a week, the candy is forgotten.
A friend of mine lets her son pick his favorites and
takes the rest to a homeless families shelter. They said
they dole it out over the next year. When DS was 3, I
thought I could get away with throwing a lot out-he
figured it out and cried and cried saying it was HIS
candy. So-no more sneaky mommy:D

We alsoi have WAAAAAAY too much candy left, and Im not sure what to do with it all!! I would say freeze it so that way I wont eatr it but that wont work Ill just defrost it and eat it!@:)

Our chocolate is dwindling down, only because Ive been living off it for the past 3 days! Tomorrow Im starting my diet again and Im deteremined to be good for then next 3 weeks until Thanksgiving(with my occasional cheating days, of course). The kids only have a few pieces a day, however I did catch DS(5) sneaking some m&ms today. Once all the good stuff is gone I will eventually get into a cleaning mode and just trash all the leftover yucky stuff and get ready for Christmas candy.

this thread is so funny our DS (5) has been bouncing off the walls since Friday!

DH said throw it out I can't take it anymore LOL

I didn't he will just have to live with it LOL

I have a friend who lets her daughters pick out their favorite 5-10 pieces of candy after they're finished Trick-or-Treating. Then they leave the rest for the "Pumpkin Ghost." When they wake up in the morning, their candy is gone, only to be replaced by a gift which the Pumpkin Ghost left.

Usually I let my son eat it until he gets sick then throw the rest out. But this year he took a small bag full of candy to school on Friday and sold it to classmates during lunch. He brought home $4!!!!!!! I was shocked that they would pay him for candy since they had all had a bunch of candy lying around the house, but I guess it's the ol' supply and demand at work.

I'll take the candy! lol. I went trick or treating at the mall and they had a really lousy selection! Nothing but a handful of tootsie rolls, starbursts, and hard candies. I want my chocolate bars!
