Halloween at Universal Studio's

Our family will be visiting Universal Studio's late September, and i was wondering if anyone could advise what activities there are at Universal Studio's for the Halloween celebrations? We have been to Disneyland for Mickey's Halloween Party, but i thought my children might like Universal too. My children are aged 8yrs and 6yrs - will Universal be too scary for them? Should we stick the Disney for Halloween or try both?

Stick to Disney.

HHN is not designed for children in any way shape or form. Guideline age is minimum 13.

Universal don't do any children's activities at all during the day for Halloween.

DO NOT GO TO Universal Horror Nights!!!

They are 1000% geared for adults to be as scary as possible. There is also a great deal of drinking, lots of sloppy drunk guests, and extremely crowded.

We love Halloween, love horror and scares ............ this is no place for kids. Google image "Universal Horror Nights" and that looks tame.

Stick to MNSSHP, fun for all ages!!

Another vote for avoiding HHN. It's amazing if you like being scared. Unless you want to deal with nightmares for weeks, avoid HHN with the kids. Having said that, find them a sitter and go yourself.
