We are thinking about visiting Disney World at Halloween for the first time. I have been looking at the various events, and it seems like the Halloween Parade at Magic Kingdom requires an additional ticket purchase for MNSSP. Is that true?

You can't simply be at Magic Kingdom for the day and stay for the first parade without paying more?

Any other suggestions for neat things to do during the Halloween season?

Thanks!

Yes. The MSSHP and MVMCP are hard ticket events. They will close the MK at 7pm and the first parade will not be until after 8pm. Those with tickets for the event will be given wristbands. CMs will make a sweep of the park starting from the back and those without wristbands will have to exit the park.

:) Love MNSSHP.... we will be there twice this year:woohoo:
There is a Haunted carriage ride at Fort Wilderness I think---the driver tells the story of Sleepy Hollow(i think, someone will correct me if I am wrong). I think there is also some sort of reading in the evenings at Port Orleans, not sure if it is Riverside or French Quater. You can also buy Smores kits at some of the resorts and they have an evening fire to roast your marshmellows. Also Animal Kingdom usually has an evening Extra Magic Hour if you are staying on property. You get to wonder around AK at dark and experience that park in a whole new light:rolleyes:. It is a lot of fun just walking around there in the evening...a few of the rides are operating, also.

:)You can get more info here or WDW info.com or Allearsnet.com for some ideas. Allears will send you a letter via email every Tuesday with a storyline, interesting facts and all kinds of info--especially current rehabs and closings.

They've changed the haunted hayride at Ft. Wilderness. I don't remember what it is now but it's no longer the story of sleepy hollow & the headless horseman doesn't make an appearance.

That is a shame!

We were planning on doing that once our kids got a little older.
