Has the Halloween 2010 schedule been posted? Due to the 31st being on a Sunday, what day do you think people will go trick or treating? What day will the golf cart parade be?

We check in on that Thursday and are set to check out Monday but will be leaving Sunday night (have to get back to school and work!)

I searched online but couldn't find information for this year :confused3 too soon?

Hello Ashley!

Good to see you posting again. Have you been to any Gator games yet this year?

The word around here is that Trick or Treating will be on Halloween night, the 31st.

The official schedule has not been released, but a previous poster stated that s/he had called the Fort directly and asked about Trick or Treating.

If they are following the same schedule as they have in the past, then the golf cart parade will be on Saturday, the 30th.

Thanks TCD! I have been in lurker mode for too long.

I went to the first game but I am living in GA now going to UGA so it's harder to make it to them. My parents go to all the home games.

Last year I was teaching at Countryside High School... I almost could have been your girls teacher! That would be a hoot!

Thanks for the fort info, you always have the answers!

You know, I didn't look at your signature.

I thought you were teaching in Georgia.

I didn't know you were working on your PhD!

Wow!

So, we will have to call you Dr. Lucy Love?

BTW- right after I posted yesterday, a fellow Disboarder,MandMLUVMMandDVC (a.k.a. Mellissa) , posted the 2010 Halloween schedule on another thread. Here it is:

I received an activity schedule in today's mail. Here's what we can expect:

Plan accordingly.

Doesn't the Trick or Treating seem early at 5-730pm? Maybe they are trying to throw off the outsider people by making it so early. Or maybe they want it in daylight so people can actually SEE kids and not hit them with the golf carts like my dd was almost hit last year by golf carts going the wrong way down the loop.

Yes, it does seem very early.

For the past two years, the official, published, end time for trick-or-treating was 9:00. The sun will have barely set at 7:30. I believe in late October in WDW, sunset will be around 6:45. We didn't receive many trick-or-treaters before dark in the past.

Dumb idea, Disney!

BTW, I cropped and rotated the photos of the schedule so you don't have to turn your head or computer monitor to read:

I got mine in the mail today! I feel so special :)

Too bad no more dodgeball though, my kids love it. The rest look good, even have my dog's costume ready to go.

Any idea how much the tie dye thing will cost? While there last week, we did one of those ($) crafts -- animal beads -- the lifeguard told us $2 for a neckalce and $1 for a bracelet...so DH rode his bike all the way back to the campsite to get $$ for the girls to participate and then they said it was free.

They clipped guests for $20 a pop for the t-shirts on the 4th of July.

And they sold out!

So, I will say at least $20, if not more.

Cha-ching!

Ok, we will skip tye dye then...that would be $60 for my kids to do that. YIKES!!! I'm sure they will be quite busy and won't notice we aren't doing it :)

Are there any activities on Friday???? The 29th of October?

I'm sure that they will have the regular Friday activities. These vary by month. For example, in August, here's what they did on Fridays:

10:00- 11:00 Crafts
2:00- 3:00 Pool Party
3:30- 4:30 Soccer
5:00-6:00 Davy Crockett Craft Bazaar
7:15-7:30 So You Think You Know Disney Trivia

7:30 Fire lighting
8:00-8:30 Sing A Long
8:40 Movie Starts

I would say to expect something like this on Fridays in October.
