We are thinking of making a long weekend trip to WDW the weekend of Oct. 20th. Any thoughts? suggestions? I was told that this is the best time of the year to visit WDW - low crowds and great decorations. Would love to hear any input.....PROUD NEW OWNERS AT SSR!!!!!!

Have a great time! We're going to be at VWL for the week of Halloween! We were at WDW last week, and I think the MK's Halloween decorations this year are the best ever!!!

Are you saying you want to go for a weekend this October and you haven't made a reservation yet? And you want to go on points? I really. really hope you get something, but this is a really popular time for DVC because of the Food & Wine Fest and there has been a waitlist for months!

October is my favorite time to go. Mickey's not so scary Halloween Party is a blast. The Food and Wine Festival is great. The crowds are minimal. The Theming is immersive. Ect....................... My wife will be starting nursing school, so we will not be back during OCT for a couple years.

October is my and my DD7's favorite time to visit! The MKNSSHP is the best! We are at Disney th 6th - 16th this year and are thinking about doing the party twice.

Hello - That is a very busy weekend - we will be there from the 17th - 23rd.

Wine and Food Festival, Funai Golf Classic, Disney Halloween Party, Universal's Halloween Party!

October is very busy - we go every year. Disney is often sold out (okay when aren't they - ha ha).

Have fun, but I can tell you - with each year the Mickey's Halloween Party has bigger crowds and higher prices. The attendance has increased 100% from the early 2000's.
