Hallo fellow members,
My family & I are planning a trip to Disneyland in October of 2011. I've been lurking around for a couple of days and tonight I decided to join. I'm looking for suggestions on good hotels with Excellent Beds. (I'm a bed freak myself!) Size of the rooms is not an issue.

One of my sister's prefer's to stay on South Harbor Blvd. and I concur. We would prefer withing 5 minutes walking distance, but I am partial to hotels who own their own shuttle service. (My sister can be talked into that.)

Does anybody have any suggestions? Price is an issue, as well. We would like to try and keep it resonable. Around $100-$140 a night if at all possible.

I am going to move this over to our Disneyland board. The experts there should be able to help you! :)

Welcome to the Dis Boards! :goodvibes

As far as I know there are only a few hotels with their own shuttle: Candy Cane Inn (CCI) and the Sheraton (can't remember the exact name of the one with the shuttle). I think the Hilton or Hyatt has a shuttle too?

If you want a hotel that is both within walking distance and with it's own shuttle then the CCI is your only option. The rooms are within your price range and they have free parking and free breakfast. I never seem to be that comfortable in hotel beds (i think because the pillows are all wrong for me) so I can't really comment on how comfy the beds are there but we really like staying at that hotel.

There are also other hotels that are right across the street from DLR - no shuttle needed. I've never stayed in any of those though so I'll let someone else give you info about them.

Hello and welcome! As pp stated, the Candy Cane Inn fits your criteria. We stayed there last October and I thought the beds were great. Not sure what you look for in a mattress; I tend to prefer a firmer mattress. I was not a huge fan of their pillows as they were too firm for me but my DH and DD(15) had no complaints. There are some discounts available- we got a AAA discount. The Hojo also has great beds, but no dedicated shuttle and no free breakfast. The walk from Hojo is about the same as the CCI, but you are crossing Harbor at Hojo. CCI is on same side of street as entrance plaza. Hojo does offer a fabulous Entertainment rate of $59 that cant be beat for value- if it is offered on your dates.

I agree with everything the previous poster said. If you want a shuttle, do the CCI. Otherwise, I would stay at HoJo's. That's the hotel my family would stay at if we ever decided to stay off-campus.

Thank-you so much everybody!

My parents, and brothers will stay at the Candy Cane Inn. It really is the best for them because of the shuttle service.

My sister and I have been talking --- We've decided that we will stay as close as possible with as comfortable beds as possible. As far as the beds go, I prefer soft. Hard is just too much for me to handle. A lot of pillows is also my goal.

We are leaning towards the Carousel Inn & Suites, because of comfort, and location. Has anybody stayed there? What type of room did you have? What was your experience like?

Reading my title, I realized I made a mistake. It should read --- 10/14-21/2011.

We are going to be going from Friday to Friday. On the last day of course we are going to be leaving early, so no Disneyland vist on that day.
