I am JUST getting into scrapbooking, and I purchased a Cuttlebug yesterday. I have been looking around at dies, and I found that Hallmark Scrapbook had the best price on some dies that I am interested in.

Being new to this, I am unfamiliar with this company and would like to know if any of you have purchased from them before, and what your experience with them was.

I appreciate your help, and I am SURE that I will be back with 1,000 questions.

I have ordered from them and their customer service has been good and their shipping is fast. I would reccomend using them- I also like www .scrapbookpal. com (they have free shipping over $25).

I have gotten cricut and cuttlebug stuff from both sites.

Ditto. Us too. Gotten great deals on Cricut carts from them, too.

Love both companies.

You'll love the Cuttlebug - even my kids enjoy rolling stuff through!

Wow!!! That was fast!!! Thanks for the help and the link to the other site.

I am VERY excited to use the Cuttlebug, and so is my 14 year old daughter. I would love to get a Cricut at some point, but just starting out, I can't really justify the expense. I'm not sure if I will get into scrapbooking in a big way, and I may be so bad at it that even a Cricut won't help.

I found the Cuttlebug on Craig's List. The woman sold me the machine, 12 dies, and 15 embossing folders (plus other accessories) for $65. She was even kind enough to show me how to use it when I picked it up from her.

Awesome! Such a deal! Cutting is fun, but you will love, love, love embossing! (It is addictive!) In addition to the scrapbooking, we make lots of our own cards now, just using the birthday or thanks embossing folders and some scrap paper/cardstock. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy, as the kids say!!!

Thanks again for the link to the Cuttlebug site! I'll be checking that out.

I just placed my order with Hallmark Scrapbook, and am excited to get my new dies. After checking pricing at other sites and local crafts stores (JoAnn and Michael's), I found that I saved $23.48 ordering my dies from them....so I bought 2 other dies.

In researching the Cuttlebug, I noticed that EVERYONE says it's the best for embossing and am looking forward to trying that out as well.

Thanks so much for all your help.

I own a Big Shot, but most die cutters are compatible with other companies dies. I use combinations of sizzix, cuttlebug, quickutz and spellbinder products.

Some of the sites I like to shop at are:

www.scrapyland.com (runs periodic good sales on Quickutz and Sizzix)
www.ritzcamera.com (everyday good prices on Spellbinder dies, also carries sizzix and cuttlebug)
www.joann.com (watch for sales on Cuttlebug and Sizzix)
www.sizzix.com (check out their clearance section and periodic good sales over the weekend/holidays)
Local crafts stores run periodic sales but carry limited selection. ACMoore, Michaels, Joann Fabric, Hobby Lobby. Most have weekly 40-50% off one item coupons.

If you look at www.splitcoaststampers.com on the forum section there is a sticky discussion on the cuttlebug and mention various sandwiches others have used for other company dies. splitcoaststampers is also a great source for ideas and tutorials if you like card making, papercrafting. They do have a scrapbook section too. http://splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=216731

Thank you, ksbean! I'll check those sites out.

My daughter spent HOURS with the Cuttlebug this weekend. She dove right in and was a card making fool. I'll probably have to get her one for herself because it looks like I won't get much "play time" on this one.

Wow!!!!!!!!! I placed my order with Hallmark Scrapbook on Thursday and I got my order yesterday!!!! Talk about fast shipping.

Our kitchen table is now littered with left-over scraps of paper and about a million Mickey cut outs of various kinds.

Too much fun.

Hey there! Being a huge scrapper (as well as a girl freind who needs therapy) visit www.ohmycrafts.com for crazy prices. She has over 50 cricut cartridges she purchased for only 19 - 25 each. I believe those are normal prices.
They are always sending me e-mails on sales - crazy sales!

Be carefull. I will not be held accountable for your debts!HA HA HA

Enjoy your cuttlebug! I use mine on cards too! I love it. It was my first buy too.

FYI I just placed an order with www.scrapbookingalley.com. I don't know if they are connected to ritzcamera.com or not but there items in stock and out of stock match. They shipped my item out quickly and the best thing about this site is FREE shipping with no minimum amount order.

They have good prices on Spellbinders Dies and also carry Cuttlebug and Sizzix. They also carry a limited selection of Quickutz.

Hallmark has several Disney dies on sale for $2.69. I checked Creative Express 50% off sale and they were $8.50.
