hallmark ornament clearance

I asked this on the thread regarding the recordable books, but I thought I should start a new thread if I wanted better luck getting answers.

Does anyone know if Hallmark ornaments ever go past 50% clearance price? I know some stuff like that they just ship back to corporate headquarters.

I work at a Hallmark store and we never place the current year more than 50% off. We do have 2010 year at 75% off right now.

It must vary by store. By the summer, my store will have 2011 ornaments at 90%. Selection is poor, but you can find some good ones

In about June, our stores here will put a table in the doorway and sell them for 99 cents each.

perhaps a smaller independent store that carries the hallmarks would be more apt to put them on sale.

There were about ten Hallmark ornaments left at my CVS for 75% off.

The stores in our area try to sell at 50% off until Feb then take off the shelves. They then put them back out when the new Christmas ornaments premiere in July and mark them at 75% off at that time.

Wow, you guys are so lucky. Our only local Hallmark sells the day after Christmas and possibly the next day at 50% off, then they pack it all up. Only thing in ours now is Valentine's stuff.

I fell in love with this adorable Peanuts band where the figures all play together. I went in day after Christmas to get each piece and they only had Charlie Brown and Snoopy left. I hope they bring them back next Christmas so I can get the others.

Check your Kohls and CVS, walgreens they sell Hallmark and I know our Kohls has them marked down but not sure how much.

Peanuts band if there is another close store, they may call and get them for you. That happened for us.

I think it might vary by store. I know some of the ones around here are franchised by different people. One of the stores I stopped in yesterday actually had all of this years that were left at 75%. I was amazed at what was left still. I got the light up/music Tinkerbell one for $4.75, and the Dumbo one for $4

Corporate Hallmark stores went 75% off on Friday (these are usually called Creation or Amy's). Independant Hallmark stores vary on their discounts.

Where I use to live there were 4 corporate stores within spitting distance and I could always pick up the ones I wanted for 75% off. Here the local chain Hallmark has been stuck on 40% off since the day after Christmas. I have no idea how long I will have to wait to discount further!

One of our Hallmarks had ornaments at 60% off today. I might go check out the other two this week to see what they have.
