Hallmark Movies ❤️ comfort & joy

Anyone else have a favorite holiday candy, cookie or treat at this time of the year? 🎄

Holiday flavored coffee creamer! Right now in on the cusp - pumpkin spice coffee with sugar cookie creamer. Delicious!

Did anyone watch the Same Time, Next Christmas ABC movie from last year? I just watched it today and the plot is basic but I enjoyed it. It was filmed in Oahu and made me think back to our 2016 Hawaii trip. It was just the mixture of escapism I needed today. I'd watch it again especially as an "in the background" film

Yes, I think I remember seeing that one last year.

Try to check out this one. "A Christmas Movie Christmas"
Kind of funny. It tries to take all the cliches of Christmas movies and mixes them together.
I commented about that one early on in the thread. I thought it was funny too. Light-hearted one when you need it!

I posted this in the kindness thread and want to share a thumbs up of Christmas in Angel Falls here, too. I watched the rest of Christmas in Angel Falls a little while ago. I loved it! It had some Touched by an Angel (a show I loved) parts (I wish those were clearer than they were but the idea was there). It tugged extra on me because I so feel my own church needs to get back its own spirit for Christmas and always. I feel called by God to one day be part of that. ETA: I just Googled and it looks like there was a sequel to this movie called Angel Falls a Novel Holiday? Has anyone seen it? Thanks :)

I've seen them both. I'm surprised Hallmark hasn't made a third sequel out of this movie this year. Some movies they've done lend themselves better to making sequels out of. Some, I wish they had left alone. This movie is one they could continue the angel theme with.

Is the sequel good. Imzadi? And does it feature any of the original characters? I believe I saw it is on this coming Saturday night. I'll have to check again.

None of the original cast is in it. The new supervising angel is actor, Eric Close, (of Without a Trace.) And the angel involved in the case isn't the main focus of the story. Just one of the supporting characters helping two humans find their way to each other. So, the angels are basically "on another case."

The movie was okay. Not quite as good as the first one. But, I can see Hallmark continuing each year with another case that angels come together to work on.

I need some upcoming recommendations please! Thank you :)
I tried to search Comcast to see if any favorites from my list were going to be on soon, and one "Borrowed Hearts" came up as free to stream right now through something called Tubi. I think you mentioned Spectrum as your cable company? - so it may be different, but it looks like it does have a search function, so give it a go and see if it's there. Press the menu button on your remote, to get to this screen:

Thank you, Imzadi! That is disappointing the original cast isn't back. I'll watch a bit of the sequel just to see. Usually originals are best!

Hug, PollyannaMom, thank you. I do have Spectrum. I typically each morning press guide on each of the three Hallmark channels to check out that day's listings. I am finishing up The Christmas Doctor which is sweet :)

Just checked on Spectrum. Not there. :(

I did a do a Spectrum On Demand search for "Christmas" and about 60 movies & Christmas specials showed up. So, if a Lifetime or Hallmark movie was recommended here in a previous post, it may be On Demand.

Just be aware, if you are DVRing movies to watch much, much later, if you delete them for the space, as they are On Demand, remember, that sometime after Christmas, all the Christmas On Demand movies may be removed, and you won't have them on your DVR either. Last year, still having a few new movies on my DVR to watch in January, after Hallmark stopped showing them, helped get through the January withdrawal.

I did like The Christmas Doctor. Not anywhere as much as Christmas in Angel Falls but it was good. I loved the town along with their longtime doctor and his wife. Sweet story :)
I'm finally going to watch that tomorrow. It's conflicted with too many other things since it's been on up until now.
