Hallmark Movies ❤️ comfort & joy

Three Wise Men and a Baby - so obvious the plot was roughly based on Three Men and a Baby from years ago. That said, I thought all 3 brothers were sort of blah. Only time I felt any "real" emotion was when Andrew Walker's character chewed out his brothers.

I wish Hallmark/Lifetime/GAC and whoever else has done Christmas movies in the past would dig into the archives and bring back some of the really good ones. Not create new so-so, mind numbing (same plot) moves each year.

Wow Shmoo, I really enjoyed Three Wise Men and a baby. Sure, it wasn't a new idea but it was funny and sweet. I could rewatch their dance of the sugarplum fairies on repeat - hilarious!

We were busy all weekend outside of the house so that was the only new movie I caught so far.

I think it just seemed to me that the brothers, while accomplished in their individual lives, were not working well together.

Heads up, everyone! Start watching movies to clear out your DVR. This Thanksgiving weekend is the busiest weekend of the season for holiday movies. You want to make sure you have enough DVR storage to record the movies you want to watch immediately.

Just counting all the Hallmark, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries and Lifetime movie premieres this Thurs - Sun, there are 12 new movies airing. (Hallmark is doing double features each night.)

Adding in GAFamily movies, there are 15.

I will have the holiday schedule up tonight or tomorrow so you can pick the movies you want to record first, and have the list to refer to, to record the others later. :teacher:

That was really the point of the story. They each reacted in a different way to their dad leaving and that separated them. It was the baby that broke down those barriers and brought them back together again.

My Internet is a bit too spotty to "pull the plug" on cable. So I keep putting it off. :( I bet Spectrum Cable does that on purpose too. :badpc: As the Internet freezes right when I'm watching a good movie. I knew intuitively at the time, that bundling cable and Internet together was a bad idea. :headache:

...and on a side note dolly is continuing to expand the imagination library, they added several more states this year i believe. She has another Christmas movie or special coming this year too I believe! It will appear Dec 1st on NBC!
Thanks for the info! That's one of my favorite charities, and I set the movie to tape.

I have been watching so many of these movies! Old ones, new ones. They play on the W Network here (Canada) almost all day long. I have been enjoying most of the new ones, I liked the Golden Dragon one, and the 3 guys/baby one. I do like that they are being a bit more diverse in the couples and stories, makes it feel a bit more "real life" but of course the stories all end similarly. I enjoyed the one with the grandfather with dementia, it was an interesting story, having lived a bit of that with my own grandfather. I didn't get to meet a nice single doctor though :D

Premiering on Netflix, Wednesday 11/23:

Christmas on Mistletoe Farm
Starring:
Carolyn Pickles, Scott Paige, Scott Garnham, Celia Imrie, Robert Slatter, Dawn Buckland.
Description: A widower inherits a farm at Christmas, but struggles to adjust to the village life his kids adore. Filmed in Birmingham, UK.

Watched Christmas at the Golden Dragon today. I liked it a lot. I had to pay a bit more attention at the start of the film (unlike most Christmas movies) to keep everyone and their stories straight.

I sorta had the feeling they took all the possible storyline suggestions for a movie (before they're fleshed out) and put them in one movie. But I thought it was really good.
