Hallmark Movies ❤️ comfort & joy

Dh and I had Friday night plans so I didn't get to see the Meghan Ory movie. Last night he was happy to watch football (on a Saturday - good grief) so I did watch "Sealed with a List". I liked it quite a bit. I think Katie Findlay is just fun and pulls me in with her bubbly personality. When that movie ended, "The Santa Summit" was up next and so I finally caught that one too. I know others have shared varying opinions but I thought it was pretty cute. I don't think I knew any of the actors except the guy from Virgin River but it was entertaining and that one woman can really really sing well!

Great American Family is a Christian-based network that many of the well-known Hallmark channel actors jumped to last year including Candace C Bure, Danica McKeller and Jen Lilley. They are competing with Hallmark but they are not available in many markets yet.

I've never even heard of them. I'll stick with Hallmark though as they air "Cookie Cutter Christmas" and nothing beats that one.

MAGIC IN MISTLETOE
I liked it. A bit of comedy mixed with angry feelings. But, of course, it all resolved well.

I saw SHOELACES FOR CHRISTMAS on BYUTV. It's an "oldie" (2018), but I thought all the actors were well cast for this one.

I'm not sure how I failed the algorithm, but I haven't received notices from this thread in 2 weeks:sad:
Posting so I can find it to catch up later! I was at WDW Dec. 4-9, and I am so far behind on the movies, you'll be reading my reviews in March LOL

I really enjoyed Sealed with a List! This has great chemistry between the leads, snappy dialogue, a viable plot, and age-appropriate actors fore storyline. It was so nice to see a very well-done movie in all respects. I hope we see more of Katie Findlay, I’ve enjoyed her in other things and she’s very talented.

I wondered what happened to you. I thought, "Is @Worfiedoodles still down at WDW?" :scratchin

I think people only get ONE notification until they check the thread. So, you wouldn't get, say, 5 notifications if 5 people posted since the last time you check the thread. You get notified after the first new post, but not for the others. You usually check in so regularly, that you probably didn't notice it works that way.

I tried watching Merry Magic Christmas, but I was just so bored.
It wasn’t bad per se, but couldn’t hold my interest.
I suppose it could be good for background noise while you’re wrapping 🤷🏽‍♀️

This past weekend was the last new Christmas movies on the Hallmark Channel. 😕

HM&M has one more movie on Thursday.

Lifetime & GAF have one more movie on Saturday.

UPtv has one more movie on Sunday, Christmas eve.

New Christmas movie premiering Thursday: 🎄 ☃️

We are down to the last few new Christmas movies of the season. :sad1:

Thursday:
Hallmark Movies & Mysteries:
Miracle in Bethlehem at 8pm ET / 7pm CT
Starring: Laura Vandervoort, Benjamin Ayres and Teryl Rothery
Description: This is a Dayspring presentation: focusing on a family friendly, Christian inspirational story that reflects positive values, joy and the true meaning of Christmas.⁣⁣ ✨✝️

Just before Christmas, Mary Ann adopts a baby girl to raise alone. She and the infant spend Christmas stuck in Bethlehem, PA, due to bad weather. Her only choice when the inn is full is to stay with Joe, the brother of the innkeeper.

No new movie on Friday.

so I did watch "Sealed with a List". I liked it quite a bit.

I really enjoyed Sealed with a List!

Glad to hear these reviews! - I DVR'd that one and haven't watched it yet.

Actually, I have quite a few left to watch, because we've been crazy busy! But 🤞🏻 I should have some time tomorrow and Sunday.

Right now I'm sitting at the car place, getting DH's inspection sticker.

My mechanic does those for us so I include them in oil changes. I’m looking forward to watching Miss Christmas, that’s almost as good as
Cookie Cutter Christmas

Hallmark Movies & Mysteries:
Mystery on Mistletoe Lane

Starring: Erica Cerra and Victor Webster.
Description: New to town, Heidi Wicks (Cerra) and her kids discover a Christmas mystery in their historic home. Local handyman and historian David (Webster) helps along the way, finding his own surprising connection.

Had this one on in the background and I wasn’t really focused so I will watch it again - but from what I did see the two leads had good chemistry and it seemed to have an interesting plot. Victor Webster as always was charming.

We watched Mystery on Mistletoe Lane tonight, (we usually record them and watch the next day) we enjoyed it. It has a little different plot, with the kids trying to solve a puzzle, I recommend it.

We too really enjoyed that movie, and I’ve recommended it to friends.

MYSTERY ON MISTLETOE LANE
I thought it was OK. It was a bit distracting because I had the feeling the audience was supposed to be playing along, with the clues being printed out on the screen as they went along.

So far, I've watched Mystery on Mistletoe Lane, A World Record Christmas, and A Season for Family, and I'm definitely enjoying this year's crop of movies!

Finally watched Mystery on Mistletoe Lane. I liked it. It started out a bit creepy, but settled down as just a Christmas mystery for the kids to solve. After a while, it became clear there was no way for the audience to solve the mystery along with the kids as there was extra backstory involved we'd never know about. Weird, how it did seem like we were supposed to join in at first.
