with those free $5 hallmark gift cards in the magazines -- what did you buy? I need a lot of small gifts and I'm wondering how to best use my $5 gift cards.

I had a 10.00 off one and I bought a cute potholder & kitchen towel set for my neighbor. They also have some cute ornaments in there and 5.00 off would help with that.

which magazines

I got my $5 gift card inside the Oprah magazine. I used mine yesterday and picked up a stuffed snowman. I wanted to use it towards an ornament, but I couldn't find one to suit my friend. And since she has everything and anything she wants, I picked up that cute snowman that she can use as a decoration. I paid $7.99 after using the gift card.

I took the $10 coupon and got a pack of white tissue paper, 4 small gift bags and 3 medium sized gift bags all for a whopping total of $1.34! I looked at the ornaments and there where were none that I really wanted to went the practical route. Money is tight and I wanted to get something useful.

Pillow Pets were $19.99 at my Hallmark. I used the $5 coupon, as well as two $2 Crown rewards, so the reindeer was $10.99 plus tax. Not bad for a real Pillow Pet.

I have my $10 coupon I need to use. I am thinking of getting some Burt's Bees tinted lip balms as I use those.

I had a $10 coupon and used it on 4 rolls of wrapping paper and spent $2.21.

I also had a $5 coupon and bought the Mickey Chirstmas countdown and DD a birthday card since her b-day is Thursday. I spent $.11!

I had the $10 coupon and my Hallmark had some Zhu Zhu pets on clearance. I got the Funhouse (7.99) and one hamster (3.99). Not bad at all.

I have 3 of the $5 off coupons and hoping to pick up some good deals when I finally get time to go in.

I've got the $10 coupons.... I'm planning on using them on wrapping paper, bows and ribbons. (the bows and ribbon are always so crazy expensive to me!) So, any little bit will help !! My DH has one too, so if we can get an ornament we will. :goodvibes

I actually went on Sunday to Barnes and Noble with a coupon.....and there's Hallmark staring me in the face. OOOOH ! I'll go grab my paper and stuff w/ my $ 10 off a $10 purchase coupon ! Where's my coupon ? on the kitchen counter. So now I've got to go back. :rolleyes1

I doubled up a $10 and $5 and got a tervis tumbler for $3.

I also used a second $5 for a recordable book for my neice.

Great! Do all the stores allow that?

When I went into my Halmark tonight and I heard the 3 employees discussing a e-mail they got stating no and how they had to show it to an irrate customer earlier. They had a lngthy conversation on how hey cannot combine coupons with another customer as well, so she split her order with no issues. I used my $10 coupon to get a new elf on a shelf as ours somehow disappeared, it is no where in the decorations. So at least the coupon helped.

I got the $5 coupons in Real Simple, Martha Stewart Living, and Redbook. I have used 2 of 3 so far, just for cards and gift bags. None of the stores here allow you to use more than one coupon per transaction, and you can't use them or Crown Rewards on clearance items.

The coupon was online and the link isnt live anymore:sad1:. Many magazines have the $5 coupon, redbook and midwest living are a few of the ones I got one in.
Just found mine in my new redbook. Thanks! I'll probably get a VB wallet or something VB with it!!:goodvibes

Mine were from Family Circle, Woman's Day, Redbook & Good Housekeeping.
