i think they skinnied him down quite a bit.
Good idea on your part. We won't miss you on either attraction!I can distinguish the attraction and real life but I think it’s important for people to know their own personal limitations before doing an attraction. For instance, I get very nauseated on certain attractions such as mission space and the hall of presidents so will skip these from now on.
According to several sources, Disney requests the new president's measurements from the White House. More recent presidents have donated personal wardrobe to contribute to the authenticity.i think they skinnied him down quite a bit.
Did I read that wiki correct? Sean Spicer is narrating? The hilarious part about this is he may be the first WH Comm Director that everyone knows. Par for the course at this point I guess. (not a Trump golf jab)
So true, I am a former Marine and I will make my girls go see this. I went when President Obama was the lead figure and I will go now. The HoP represents out country in a good way and boycotting because you don't like one? I disagreed with Bush 2's policies but he was my Commander-In-Chief and he deserved my respect. We will be there in april and I plan on seeing this. Whether you like trump hate trump or dont care either way he is president which makes him part of this show which I enjoy. I wasn't a fan of Obama but would not boycott HOP because I didnt care for one president out of how many in our country's history.. personal choice. We will see it
I'm glad it's open again! The personal political ruffled feathers over this opening, and Obama's opening, are really kind of confusing as there are plenty of the dead presidents onstage that had the same views of Obama, Trump, Bush, Clinton, etc... only magnified, but nobody boo's them. Most people just don't realize that because they don't know who those men are or what their leadership and views were like. At least this attraction teaches actual factual history, which many don't get exposed to in everyday life.
I always try to catch the new presidents when they open after an election, and I try to see them once before it changes to a new president. Lord willing I get to see it in a couple of weeks and look forward to it. I try to wait to see it first hand before judging the Audio Animatronics because context matters. The new sculptor seems to favor emphasizing certain physical characteristics rather than the detail of a face... I do prefer the old style better.
Well by that same logic do any of us care whether juju skips the attraction?
Jon Voight was one of the guesses they made on The Today Show this morning too. They also agreed it looks nothing like TrumpThe robot looks terrible and vaguely terrifying. Like Jon Voight 6 months post-mortem.
I'm guessing maybe it's got to do with the movement of the figures? I don't know, but Tussaud's don't move, right? Aren't they the wax figures? The figures at Disney have to go over the mechanics of the animatronics which is going to be a very different modeling process I'm sure. How is it that Madam Tussaud's can sculpt figures that look eerily like the famous people they are but every one of the HoP figures looks like something out of the Haunted House in my nightmares?
Sheesh.
Which is why we make a point to see it at least once every few trips.Always enjoyed HoP... if only for the down time...
I do admit its not a must see and we don't always get to see it on our trips but i certainly wouldn't let the current POTUS's antics persuade me from visiting it.. I mean they are honoring 44 other past presidents as well!
I don't care what other people do. I just thought it was rude, as are a few other posts in this thread.
But she wasn’t rude saying the HOP makes her vomit?! I was just stating a fact. People can ban it all they want - but the crowd size doesn’t seem to be affected by it.
