Halfway between WDW and Universal?

Friends are staying at Universal and we are at Disney but we would like to try to meet up one night for dinner. Neither of us have rental cars so we are going to take a cab to meet. Any suggestions for a family friendly dining experience halfway between WDW and Universal?

There are many restaurants on Sand Lake in the Dr. Phillip's/Restaurant Row area:

Sand Lake Road or I-Drive (off of Sand Lake) is your best bet. This is closer to Universal than Disney, but I don't think you'll find anything exactly halfway.

There are tons of national chain restaurants on Sand Lake and I-Drive, including Olive Garden, Longhorns, Red Lobster, etc. In fact, Olive Garden's first restaurant is on I-Drive.

After you look at the lists of the restaurants provided, if it's not a national chain and your wondering about, travel adviser is a good site for restaurant reviews.

You could also post the names of a few of your choices. There are a lot of locals that have probably eaten there.

What kind of food does everyone like eating?

Some of these restaurants can be really busy -- I would call and find out if reservations are taken.

Not quite halfway, but a good choice nonetheless would be Bahama Breeze on I-Drive. However, I highly recommend calling ahead to get your name on the list for call ahead seating as they don't take reservations. http://www.bahamabreeze.com/locations/?restaurantid=3001
