Half Marathon Spectator

I am running the half marathon with my son. We are staying at the Beach Club for the first time. Will my husband and daughter be able to walk through Epcot to get to the finish line or to the monorail to get to Magic Kingdom.

If not, how would they get to the finish.

The International gate is not open until park opening time. So unless you start in one of the latter corrals and finish with a time in the 3 hour range, they will not be able to cut through Epcot. They would need to take one of the race buses to Epcot. If they want to go to MK, they can then take the monorail.

How would they get to the monorail? Aren't the roads closed? They won't be going to the start with us since we have to be there so early.

All the roads aren't entirely closed, but restrictions are in place. Buses will run to Epcot up until 5 am, then stop between 5-7,and resume at 7 am. They would need to take one of the race buses or drive to Epcot. They could then catch the monorail from there.

Another option is to take a cab to the TTC during the 5-7am bus down time and then hop the monorail to MK after seeing you at the TTC. This worked well for me when my son ran the marathon.
