I have a ton of books that I would love to sell. I have sold a few on eBay and they have done well, but in my opinion, it takes to long to list everything.

So to sell your books which do you use? Which one is cheaper? Which one is easier? Also, if you don't have a picture with your listing, do your books still sell? Any information, comparison, or advice is appreciated! Thank you!

I have sold about 150 books on Amazon. It is pretty simple. After you set up an account you list books by the ISBN code on the back of the book.

You use the Amazon pictures and they collect the money for you. They send you an email when you have sold something and you need to ship it in two days. They credit you enough money to ship a two pound package media mail, so you usually make a little there. They deposit your money into your bank account every two weeks if you do not request it earlier. All in all a very simple process.

Success will depend on how interested people are in your books. Mass market books usually sell for .01

Thanks for the info! I really like the idea of selling my books in a simple and easy manner. You can sell DVDs, videos, and CDs too correct or just books? Also, can you give me an example of what you mean by Mass Market Books? Also, how do you know what price to list books at? Thanks!!!:wave2:

You can sell DVDs, videos, and CDs. Mass market books are usually popular authors who sold millions of copies. Eg. my Tom Clancy books often have 100 selling for .01. These books are better to donate or sell on EBay as lots of multiple books. I have done very well selling some textbooks, religious books, and out of print books. When you are listing your book you can see a list of what everyone else is selling for. I usually try to price slightly higher than the lowest book in my condition. You need to experiment, but don't price too low. If someone is selling for $5, don't list at $4. You can list at $5 and you will be first on the list, because the last person who listed at that price is shown first.

It doesn't cost anything to start, so I would recommend trying a few things to see how you like it.

I sell on Half.com and have made a good amount of money doing so. I sell mostly college textbooks when I am done with them. They sell pretty quickly. I am still nervous to try and sell Ebay so this was a way to start selling without taking a giant leap. Hope it helps.

Does half.com have the same registration process as Amazon Marketplace? Also- same or different fees involved? I am asking because half.com looks sooooo much like Amazon!
