Half board vouchers

I've read quite a bit about these in various threads, but a touch confused still. At current exchange rates Euro 19 is £18, so seems a good deal to buy for £13. Does anyone know if:

- They can be used to deduct Euro 19 per voucher off any hotel meal, eg Inventions, can they be used there?

- is there a limit on how many you can use per meal. For example, if unused for one day, the next day could you use say 4 vouchers to pay for a meal for two costing Euro 76?

Many thanks!

There seems to be some confusion amongst CM's regarding the rules of hb vouchers. Often it seems to depend on who serves you. We used our hb+ vouchers at face value at Annette's and we were told that we could do this at Walt's or choose from the hb+ menu. However, I saw a family turned away from The Steakhouse with premium vouchers when I believed that you could use these vouchers at face value in most restaurants.

It states in the brochure that some meals can be paid for using 2 vouchers (Auberge and CM, I think) but I wouldn't bank on being able to do this. When I spoke to customer services, I was told that you can't 'combine' vouchers to pay for meals at face value.:confused3

It's all very confusing and everyone seems to have had different experiences regarding the use of vouchers. Having said that, they represent great value and I wouldn't hesitate in getting them again.

If you are going to eat at inventions or other meals that cost upwards of 35E each then go for HB premium!

It's amazing value for money!

And in cheaper places you can use 1 voucher for two of you!

Each voucher costs £35 but is worth €44 so our buffet at la grange was €50 so we only had €6 to pay! (And a tip) Same in silver spur, and then it paid for our meals in Cali grill and inventions with one voucher per person.

Awesome value and great food!

Torsie, I checked out the DLP site and it does not say inventions or California Grill - you actually got the full inventions buffet for the one ticket per person at £17 for HB premium? This would be fantastic.....

When you pay £ for the them do they show the Euro face value? Sorry to ask another daft question, but can they just be used as a cash substitute for a more expensive bill - I'm thinking about a situation where you would normally get a discount by virtue of being an annual passport holder. You'd expect to use the vouchers at face value against the discounted price. Strikes me that there's a double discount here somewhere?

HB premium is £31 per adult, increasing to £36 from April
HB plus is £18 per adult, increasing to £21 from April
HB standard is £13 per adult, increasing to £16 from April

And yes, if you use your vouchers at face value in a more expensive restaurant, you can also get AP or shareholder discount on top of the voucher value.

Hope this helps :)
