Greetings!

I booked a trip to DLP in August yesterday and I'm very excited!:yay:

We've been given the half board plus meal plan for free - I've never used a meal plan at DLP before and I just wondered if there was anyone out there who has any tips for me!

As far as I can see, it means a free meal per person each day (albeit from a limited menu in certain restaurants).

Any words of wisdom would be great! :lovestruc

Hi mamaboogie. :wave2: We've had a meal plan on all our DLP visits to date - it helps me budget as my sister wants character dining most days.

You get the best value from using the plus vouchers in plus restaurants as the 3 course meal or buffet is normally valued at more than the cost of the voucher and you get a free soft drink with your meal. For example, the cost of the adult 3 course meal in Cafe Mickey is 44 euro but a plus HB voucher worth 34 euro covers the meal and a soft drink.

You can also use them towards the cost of a more expensive meal and top them up but you generally don't save as much doing that.

If you use them in a lower cost / standard restaurant you won't get any change from them.

DLP Guide has a good restaurant guide which also explains the different categories. :goodvibes

Thank you! We've had the free dining at WDW and I've got that sussed but am clueless about meal plans at DLP! I love Walt's and The Blue Lagoon - is it worth using the vouchers there? Do the vouchers cover the cost of the meal at places like this?

Yes you get 1 table service or buffet per person per night of your stay. You get vouchers for each meal and are free to use them as you choose. You can use them for lunch or dinner and can spread them out over your stay. Enjoy :thumbsup2

Yes the plus vouchers cover blue lagoon and walts on their 3 course (cheapest) menu. Have a look at dlp guide!

Thank you! Am having fun looking at restaurants etc. Presumably you just pay for any alcoholic drinks and a tip? Yes - I am obsessed with food! :joker:

hope thats ok to ask here, we also got free HB and be at DLP in August:dogdance:

just wonder is anyone tried to use child HB voucher as a face value but at counter service? I "think" I remember one couple paying with them in Last chance cafe? anyone did it? as we will be adding 1adult to the room at check in we will have 3 child and 3 adult meals to use for us 3 so thinking about ours options...

TIA
