Half Board Option- another question

After having just looked at the useful information site with the link to the Disney page I didn't see a Half Board premium option only half board standard and plus with an upgrade at face value to the gormet dining experiences.

The person I spoke to on the phone told me the Plus would let us eat at Walts' but not Inventions or Au Berge de Cendrillion but premium would.

I checked my confirmation letter and it is listed as Half Board Premium. I was told premium can be used at Inventions and Au Berge so that is why I added that onto our package.

Has anyone used the half board premuim and can tell me if we are good?

I believe the premium option is very new so there's probably noone here who's used it. We used plus in February and Auberge was 2 plus tokens.

Premium option only started in April - before that it was half board or HB plus. Im hoping you can still eat at inventions with HB plus and pay the extra as we want to do this in Summer (are seriously considering the HB due to the Euro).
We'll ask when we phone to pay in few weeks as intend adding it then - dont want to pay premiun rates tho as other places we want to eat are in plus category

Got the brochure with that info in front of me so can answer that one.

Half board standard - £13 adult/ £6 child

Plus - £17 adult/ £8 child

Premium - £31 adult / £10 child

seems a big price difference between plus and premium

Thanks- thats very similar to whats in the brochure.
Its strange though that Anettes is on half board standard and premium but not plus. It seemed as though it was a mistake in the brochure but DH phoned about something the other day and enquired about it and they said that was right - standard and premium but not plu.

It is a big jump between plus and premium, but for Auberge at least it's still cheaper than 2 plus tokens which is what we 'paid' in February. For us when we go in October on our own it might even be worth getting the premium because DH likes to eat in all the most expensive places!

We really like to relax and have nice dinners after park time. Is it the opinion that the Half Board Premium is a decent deal for the better restaurants? I have not had the time to really look at each restaurant's menus. At the current exchange rate, it comes to around $120/day for 2. Of course we'll be adding on wine as well.

Another item, is the tip included (or not) on half board plans?

I figured out that we are saving $35 each with the half board premium since we are going to use our vouchers at Au Berge de Cendrillion and Inventions so I thought that was pretty good and if the Euro rate keeps going down we will have saved even more.

According to the info it says soft drink included with meal however at Auberge you get wine included as part of meal anyhow so would get wine there

I have already paid and booked the half board plus, I have also booked cafe mickey for 3 out of our 4 nights there as I love this restaurant so much, but I notice now its not on the list for HB plus, can I still use the vouchers as part payment which was what I had originally intended to do

If you are wanting to ensure you have prepaid then it is a good deal

So, at Auberge de Cendrillon the fixed price dinner is 55 Euro, which at today's exchange rate is roughly 43.5 pound. If the Half Board Premium is 31 pound/day, is the meal covered? Or do you have to pay the difference (12.5 pound)? At WDW under the Disney Dining Plan under similar circumstances it would be covered. I want to make sure we budget enough money for food. I understand extras like specific bottles of wine and tip will be extra. Help!

Half board is easy peasy, it is just like prepaying for your dinner so when you get out there you don't sit there counting the pennies for your dinner.

Halfboard plus you can use everywhere even as part payment at ANY restaurant Cendrillon included it is just a 25 euro food voucher if you like.

I will always use this method for the future especially if intending to eat onsite only and especially with the current excahnge rate you get more than your moneys worth

I would like to point out it doesn't mention the Blue Lagoon on the halfboard plus vouchers but we were allowed to use them in there for their face value no questions asked.
