Hello! Welcome to my first ever PTR!! 
One month from today…from TODAY!!!! I will be headed home to WDW!! I am beyond excited so I figured I would release some excitement by starting a PTR and hopefully pick up some more tips and advice from all you wonderful Disers!
So the Who, Why (haha dumb question), When and Where…
WHO is going you ask?? ME! I’m Karen
, a 40 something mom who has always loved Disney and will always love Disney and will someday retire and work at Disney, ahhhh to dream though.
Also going…my good friend Lisa
, also a 40 something mom, who loves Disney, but maybe not as cray cray as me.
WHY is the trip happening? Because Lisa texted me and asked…”Would you want to go to Disney with me in March?” And my answer was…”Duh…that’s a stupid question!” And so the planning began…
Now a little background on me, I’m a planner…a crazy planner, a “scour every website around the great wide web to find any and all info that I can possibly find” planner. I LOVE to talk about vacations with anyone that will listen. I love to help others plan their own vacations and get just as excited as if it was mine. And so I have gotten the nickname “Julie” (after the cruise director on the Love Boat…come on people, you do know who Julie is right?? Please don’t make me feel even older!)

And Lisa… so not a planner of anything! Oh I wish some days I could be so carefree and just go with the flow. But…I think this will make us pretty perfect traveling companions. I get to plan everything and when I run things by her she always says, “Whatever, it’s all good, no worries!” (The reason for my PTR Title, am I right?? Good one Karen!
)
Oh and just some background on how we met; our sons both race motocross. We’ve known each other for about 5 years, and she is one of my best friends. She’d do anything for me, and has been there for me during some stressful times. (You know like watching your son fly through the air on a dirtbike, simple stuff) We spend a lot of weekends together during motocross season and have a lot of laughs together so I am really looking forward to showing her the world!!
Oh, so! As you can see in my signature, I’ve been a few times, and Lisa use to go a lot when her DS’s were little (they are now 20 and 21), BUT HAS NEVER STAYED ON SITE!!! And the last time she was there a few years ago it was just her and her DH and they only went to Epcot for 2 days so she hasn’t been to the other parks in almost 10 years!!! OMG!! I can hardly stand it!
So I really can’t wait to show her the WORLD!
Oh my gosh, this is getting long but I don’t want to leave out any details!! (And, I do kind of ramble a lot so sorry if you are still here, I’m almost done I swear!!)
So we are going in March for 6 nights and staying at POFQ, yay!! I stayed there last February when my DH surprised me with a quick trip with my sister for my birthday. I really liked the resort, the size is perfect, the theming is beautiful, and I love that we can take a boat to DS!!
I have ADR’s chosen, and FP’s too which I will share in my next post. I really would love feedback and any tips because I really don’t want to mess anything up or forget something important because part of being “Julie” is taking care of every little detail and then also being able to switch if up should we need to. As much as I am a planner I can also throw away a plan and make changes if we feel like doing something different. Last year I made ADRs and FP’s and a plan of what park on what day, but we also hopped around a lot and that was all part of the fun!
IF you made it this far, wow…thank you for reading all of this! I promise it can only get more interesting from here on out.

i would love to go on a Disney trip with a buddy. how much fun is that going to be! when in march are you going??
Thanks to everyone who read my first post! Now on to the fun stuff!! Please feel free to give advice on any changes you might suggest, opinions you have, etc!
We are both super excited to eat here; neither of us have been before. I know it gets mixed reviews but we’re willing to give it a try. After dinner we plan on either using FPs or walk around WS until Illuminations at 9:30. Lisa has never seen Illuminations before! Eeeek!
Found this on my trip last year…OMG…so lovely! Just sitting there looking out on the water with the fountain spraying in the air and live music (last year was a guy playing guitar and singing James Taylor songs) ahhhhhh…Oops! Ok, sorry I’m back!

Excited for this one too! This was the only time I could get, I keep looking for anything earlier.
So...last night I started re-planning some days to add some other adventures in. The more I read on the DISBOARDs the more things I see and want to do too! It really doesn't matter how many times you've gone or how long you are staying for, you just can't do it all!!
