Hakuna Matata - Gobbling up the pavement and thankful we can!

Yep Lynn is the bestest for sure.

Had a great ride home little windy but averaged 15mph for a little over 12 miles. Hills and wind did not help.

Have a great day kids.

Good Morning Team!

Busy at work & doing a quick fly-by.
Nothing exciting happening. Went to pilates on Mon. The last 1. The gym has canceled this class. I will now be back to yoga. Had a good run last night.

Dave & Sally, Congrats on your big day!
Nikki, Glad to hear your testing went well.

Hi to all. Have a great day everyone...........Sue

Hello Team!

Happy Wedding Day, Dave and Sally! May the new Kirgan family have a happy, healthy marriage.

Beth Good to hear you aren't getting sick! Congrats on the complements. It's always nice when people notice our hard work. Are you planning a movie party?

Vicky tights, this time of year. Capris for spring and fall, shorts for summer. OR, whatever you personally need at this time!!! :lmao:

Mike Put you and Liz on the list. Good to hear from you. It's such a shame when lfe gets in the way of the "want to do list"! Sounds like you are herding cats rather than lining up ducks!

Nikki Congrats on the test!

Hope Your job will level out soon. Keep your chin up! Think of it as a challenge rather than an obstacle!

Margie Your family has my prayers. Know that I am here for you!

AFM - The days are speeding by. It's only three weeks to Thanksgiving. Guess I will go clean...the carpet looks bad. Think I will clean the carpet then workout while I can't walk on it!

See ya - Connie

Good Morning Team!

Dave and Sally - best wishes for today!

Vicky - You could use the shoes that you do not like as "running around" shoes, I do that with mine after I have decided that they have been "training shoes" long enough - after that, they become "work shoes" (mowing lawn or painting, etc.). I buy most of my exercise gear either on sale or at race expo's - that makes them much cheaper, but that also means that I cannot always buy for the current season - I buy summer clothes in winter and winter clothes in summer. You might also try Running Warehouse or Sierra Trading Post for closeouts - but I do not know how much more shipping to Canada would be.

Mike - I love the "when I get my ducks in a row they wander off" - so true! Pixie dust for your Mom, and good luck finding a cheap fare to Washington, I know we would have problems with last minute announcements also. Scott brought home Toy Story 3 last night - but we went out to a show "Stomp", so we did not see it - my guess is that we will watch it tonight!

Nikki - good job on your test!

Beth - glad to hear about the positive feedback from your co-workers - that must have made your day! I am surprised NYC does not have more modern voting machines - even here in Wyoming we have touch screen voting!

Connie - great about the medals, we will send PM to Margie.

Margie - thanks for your work on the Turkey Trot medals!

AFM - the dogs and I did make it out for a 3 mile walk yesterday, but I did not get in any Pilates or Yoga or Weight training. I am having trouble with not enough hours in the day! At least the weather this week has been, and should continue to be nice!

Pixie Dust to all who are in need!

Have a great day team!

Morning all!

It is a chilly, wet morning here...which wasn't good for getting up after being out late with running club last night. I don't usually do the Wednesday night runs (and dinner after) because of the late hour (and it's supposed to be an SRD for me), but first Wednesdays are "Wild Women Wednesdays" and I got (positive) peer pressured into going. I only ran/walked for 30 minutes - but it was kind of cool to run through all the marathon preparation going on. And man that bison burger and sweet potato fries were sooooooo worth it!!! Then there were subway issues - we seem to be having a rash of broken rails - so getting home took longer than it should have. And 5:30 came EARLY!!!!

I figure I'll do 30 minutes today. Technically I'm supposed to do 45, but since I did 30 yesterday... It would be silly to just do 15 imho. LOL. And I'm thinking it will be at the little park close to my apartment. After all...if it's chilly and rainy on January 8, I'm not going to NOT do the Half!!!!!!! Might as well practice! Then I'll go home, get a hot shower, eat something, and head into Manhattan for a Chely Wright concert at Joe's Pub! Woohoo!!

This weekend is all marathon all the time. Tomorrow night is Front Runners pasta dinner - I'm volunteering. And of course eating. Saturday morning I'll be up EARLY to get my run in before going to volunteer at Front Runners pancake breakfast!! And eating! And then Sunday I'm going to be at the Mile 24 water station ALL DAY! I'm technically signed up for the morning shift, but I've told the people in charge I'll be hanging out all day, and they're cool with that. Sooooooo exctied!!!!!!! but thank goodness we get an extra hour of sleep FINALLY this weekend!!!

Hope everyone has a great day!!

~beth

Good Morning Team!

Congrats Dave and Sally!

Beth - sounds like you have a full weekend planned! Have fun at the marathon!

Hi to everyone else!

Pixie Dust to all who are in need!

Have a great day all!

Yesterday was a perfect day, one of those that just go so smoothly that relaxed and comfortable over comes any stress leading up to it. I surly hope this is an omen of how our live together will be, relaxed and comfortable. But with a splash of excitement and a thirst for discovering what awaits around the the next bend in the road.

We went out for an hour walk this morning and then had breakfast at the oldest restaurant in Bowling Green, a little "meat and three" place called Judy's Castle.

Have a magical day y'all.

Dave:hippie:

Hi team! I made a bit of a mess this morning when I spilled ground flax seed all over my desk, chair, the floor and myself. It was my fault for not paying attention. I got the cleaners to come upstairs with a vacuum and they fixed everything! But not before I got some funny looks from people walking down the hallway. What? No one else has ever spilled anything before

Beth - Have fun this weekend! Race volunteers rock!!

Margie - Hope your DVD arrives soon! I loved Toy Story 3 :)

Lynn - I think RW charges about $26 or so to ship to Canada. I think the worst part are the taxes and duties we have to pay when the shipment crosses the border. I usually try to order from them when I'm in the US and have it shipped to a friend. I think the 760s will be walking shoes for the time being.

Sue/Kim - Watch the exchange rate today. It's pretty close to par so if you have some extra cash, it might be a good time to pick some up.

Dave - Any pics of the happy couple? :)

Regina - How's the new job going? Are you liking the new environment? How are your new coworkers?

Mike - Sorry to hear about your mom's eye :( I hope the treatments for her go well. They sound scary but better than having her vision worsen. Big  and pixiedust: for her. And congrats to your nephew! Any chance you could drive instead of flying?

Nikki - Good job on your test! It sounds like you're doing really well :) Can you share your strengthening exercises for the shins? I get shin splints every so often as well.

Sue - Sorry to hear your gym cancelled the pilates class. Did they say why? Was the instructor leaving? What kind of yoga are you going to be taking?

AFM - I did a cake decorating class on Tuesday. It was a lot of fun! We worked with buttercream, learned to ice a cake, learned how to create different colours of icing and worked with fondant to make decorations. I took as many pictures as I could as we went through the steps. It was tricky because the work space was limited and my hands were often sticky. If anyone's interested, the pics are on my FB page. Here's a link if you're not on FB: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=34318&id=100000743108717&l=1e4cab36eb

Did another boxing session yesterday and the instructor said he felt comfortable picking up the intensity because I had done so well on the techniques and basics last week. It got my heart rate up a little more so I definitely had more fun this week and the hour just flew by. He kept telling me to think about something at work I didn't like so I'd hit the bag harder. I just kept  each time he said that. I said I'll picture someone else *ahem*

So tonight I've got an hour training session and then I'll probably go home and crash. I haven't been getting much sleep this week.

Have a great day everyone! :wave2:

Just popping in to say congratulations to Dave and Sally! Can't wait to meet Sally in January.

It's cloudy here today at WDW. Been just hanging out in our room at AKV this morning while waiting for friends to arrive. Going to dinner tonight at Victoria and Albert's. Our first time ever and we're so excited!

Mike...take good care of your mom. I had a friend several years ago that had a detached retina (I know it's not the same) but she almost lost her sight completely. Very scary.

Loved Toy Story 3 at the theater. I also ordered mine from DMC, so it should be waiting for me at the post office when I get home.

Good Afternoon Team!

Another fly-by today.

Dave & Sally, Glad to hear your day was everything you were hoping for. May you have many years of happiness.

Vicky, Did you book your flight for Jan.? No clue about the type of yoga. I've been to the class many times. Don't no why pilates was cancelled. It wasn't the instructor choice. She really didn't know either.

Mike, PD for your mom. I hope this go well for her.

Beth, Have a great weekend of volunteering.

Had a good run last night. Hoping the rain will hold off so I can get tonight's run in.

Hi to everyone. Have a great evening........Sue
