What resorts can you get the hair wraps? My 7yr old would love thisprincess: We are staying at POR do they have them?:wave2:

I think all the resorts have them. We have seen them at PO-FQ as well as the All Stars. My dd got one that cost around $21 (fancy beads plus $1.50 an inch! )

On my - I just noticed your counter. We are leaving 3 days after you. Aren't you getting soooooo excited!!! I am trying to be excited for Halloween - usually one of my favorite holiday's - but I can hardly think of anything besides Disney!

Just wanted to add a word of caution about the hair wraps....My daughter had one done on our last trip (2001). She was five and her hair is long but baby fine. After about the fourth day, the wrap and the whole chunk of hair that it was covering broke off at the root, leaving a noticeable bald spot! She is 9 now and her hair is considerably thicker, but I am not taking the chance with this on our next trip, even though she would love to do it again. I am going to suggest a nice face painting instead, lots of laughs!

I know there is a booth on the Boardwalk that does them too. My daughter and I walked over there one day from the International Gateway entrance to EPCOT, but found out the lady is only there in the evenings. We found 2 places in Universal too, but decided against it when we realized the cost would be $25.

My daughters (7 and 4) got hair wraps outside POTC in July. It took about 20 minutes or so to do my 7 yr old's wrap - her hair is about shoulder length. I took my 4 yr. old's out about two days later (she didn't want it anymore - it actually lasted longer than I thought it would)! We let my 7 yr. old keep hers for about 2 months - it started looking pretty ratty by then. Just keep in mind - the wraps are very time-consuming to remove. Each section of thread is knotted and you have to undo or snip each tiny knot before you can unravel the next section.

They do sell "clip-on" wraps that are less expensive - they're not as authentic looking but your daughter might want to try one on to see if she'd like it.

DD loves to have her hair wrapped BUT...be aware that the first night is often difficult. If the hair is wrapped snugly against the scalp, it pulls/tugs on the hair every time the wrap moves around. The cost is by the inch, I think about $1.70 per inch, measured after the wrapping is finished. Beads cost a variety of prices, depending on the fanciness, and must be separated by a spacer (25-40 cents each). What really annoyed me was that they wrap the hair, then leave a length of thread for the beads, beads are attached, and then wrap length is measured from scalp to far end of beads, so in addition to paying for the individual beads you also pay the per inch charge for the length of the beads. I know, not much on the grand scale of things, but I hate getting nickled and dimed to death...
