Hair Wraps?? Tattoos??

Hi all,

We're going to be staying at POP and AKL next week... does anyone know if I can get a hair wrap at either of those? What about a temp. tattoo?

from what i've read on these boards, both tattoos (temp) and hair wraps are available at pop century... my dd is looking forward to another hair wrap, so i am glad they have them!

IMO - The hair wraps are fun, but keep in mind you may have to cut the hair that is wrapped. The tatoos are a waste of money and time. The one my daughter got at MGM came off the next day. They are basically the ones you can get at Walmart for .50

My daughter got at hair wrap poolside at AKL in when we stayed there in January '02. It stayed in for about two weeks and was not a problem to remove. She just loved having it.

naw...you don't have to cut it...it took me a half hour to untie mine...it was a pain in the butt...and the hair inside the wrap was pretty funky looking, but I rather have that then a bald spot!

I saw a booth poolside AKL back in september 03 and January of this year...but I never saw anyone working it.

I didn't have to cut my dd's out, either. It took a while to upwrap, but it did unrap. She had her's done in MK, right next to POC.

It depends on how long you want to leave the wraps in. If you leave them in any longer than a few weeks, the hair it self starts to slowly break away piece by piece. My daughter has had two, one lasted 6 months the other lasted 8 months before they eventually just fell out hair and all. I had one that lasted 9 months and then just one day fell out hair and all. If you only want them in a few weeks you can unwrap them, it just takes a lot of time and patience.

If you want to leave them in for an extended amount of time, I would highly recommend getting them done behind the ear towards the bottom. That way when the hair starts to grow back it is not noticeable. If you are going to unwrap them either way works. I have known a few people who had the ones done on the top of their heads at the part and let them fall out and when the hair grows back, it sticks straight up!

DS got a tattoo at Pop and I thought it lasted very well. I think he had it for a full 2 wks before it got to looking pretty ratty. They tell you how to take care of it for the first 24 hrs to make it last. Like... don't get it wet for the first 20 minutes (i think) and no swimming for the 1st 24 hrs (chlorine). I think we paid $6.00 for a tatoo of Stitch surfing. They had plenty to choose from too.

My DD and I both got one at AKL in June. I let her pick out the colors and beads so that we could be "twins". If you do the one at AKL the booth is near the pool. We did it the minute we saw the girl there which turned out to be a good thing. The hours that were posted were not acurate and we did not see anyone there the rest of our 4 day stay. If you see someone do it at that time. Have fun. And so what if you need to cut a little hair or the tattoos don't stay, as long as you are happy that is all that matters!!!!

Pop Century does have the hair wraps & tattoo booths. They are outside, between the lobby and pool area.

My youngest DD got a tattoo at MGM, by Pizza Planet. Her tattoo lasted about 2 weeks with no problems - it was about $6.00.
She also got her hair wrapped at MGM and we just took it out about a week ago (we were there the week of July 4th). It took a little time, but I got it out without cutting the hair. My older DD still has her hair wrap! (Both hair wraps were about $22 each)

The kids really enjoy having them!!!

We received instructions with my daughter's (done at IOA). It was estimated to last 2-4 weeks and should be removed no longer than 6 weeks to ensure the hair does not become damged or fallout.

Ok, what about Henna tattos? I thought I read somewhere that you can get henna tattos on DIsney Property. If anyones knows the price too, I would love to have this done when we are on our honeymoon.
