So I'm thinking about getting some hair straighteners but I need your advice - cause there's so many different types - what are the best pair of hair straighteners to get?
Thanks

I dunno the name of mine, but make sure it has ceramic plates.

I would suggest the Sedu Ionic hair straightener. I have a friend that has pretty curly hair and she used it and it did a great job.

One that doesn't damage your hair too much if you plan on using it like everyday.
Spend more on a hair straightener, order it from where hairdressers do. That's if you want a good one.
Personally, I like the crappy cheap ones.

I have a conair and it has ceramic plates. I like it. I want one like they use at the hairdressers, the really good ones, but I can't afford that. Or a chi, I'm not sure, I think I'll stick with the one I have now. I really do like the Conair ones now, I've used it, for about a year and a half, and had to replace it once, but it works fine.

Mine's Conair, cermaic plates, and is also a hair curler (you lock the two ends together, mines broken though). I've been using it on it's highest setting way too long and my hair is now dead.

idont Know the name of mine i have a thick one and a thin one the thine is good for thin pieces in the front and the thick for the back

Mine is a Jilbere de Paris Ceramic Tool Porcelain Series.

It's amazing I love it. I got it at Sally Beauty Supply (I don't know if thats a chain or not, but thats where I got it.)

Hope that helped.

I have one. I think it is ConAir. It is called something like "Wet2Straight" and you use it on wet hair. It works pretty well, but it takes a long time for my hair because it is so thick.

Conair, I really like.
But don't get the scissor shaped handles. Get the regular kind. Hard to explain..sorry

Conair.
It works for me but my hair's not all that curly...

ah I'm so stupid I should have thought, I'm from the UK so there's different brands! :S is there anyone from the UK who can help? And for everyone, what is important to look for when buying a pair of straighteners?
Thanks for all your help

I have a lot of Conair stuff, but I don't straighten my hair, I curl it.

I don't straighten my hair, because it's just too curly, and it gets damaged really easily.

I have that one!

Hi im from the UK!

to be honest, got mine from Argos catalogue! :)

Mine are Remmington ceramics, and since they are quite thin i can do the fiddly bits of my parting with them, they also heat up in 60 sec so i can do it on the quick!

Don't go for wet to straight ones, as they can REALLY damage your hair if you use them too much.

If you are gonna use striaghteners a lot put hair protector in (Tresemme is quite good and not that expensive, so is my VO5 stuff), and use an intensive hair mask every few weeks to stop it getting so bad from the heat and put some moisture back in!

Hope this helps :)!

My Mum don't allow me to buy those but I'm allowed to dye my hair or highlight it..
