Hair & Makeup morning of MK Photo Shoot- or All Nighter?!?!??!

Hi Everyone,

If you decide to do the MK photo shoot a few days after the wedding, have you found any hair/make-up artists willing to come back to your hotel room or open up for you at 4:30am to get ready? I'm thinking of using Ivy Trellis for my hair, but for some reason I can't imagine they will be willing to open their doors to me at 4:30am so they can re-do my hair. Has everyone found this to be the case and do your own hair? I just don't know how flexible most salons/beauticians are.

Otherwise, DF and I will just have to pull an all-nighter on our wedding night, which doesn't sound like too much fun, but would be worth it for those MK photos!!

I know Ana of makeovermajic.com was willing to come out super early, for an additional fee (I think $15 on top?). However, I just decided to do my own hair and makeup that day since the shots aren't closeup at all. Actually, my hair was half up for the wedding but I left it down for the MK photo shoot so I would have different shots of different looks, you know?

I don't know if an all-nighter is the greatest idea; you might fall asleep on the car ride over to the MK! lol!

The problem I have is that I have a difficult time making my hair presentable on a daily basis (usually just wear it in a ponytail) that I'm bound to screw it up if I try to do it myself!!

I agree an all nighter is probably not the best, but I figure our reception doesn't officially end until midnight, so we wont get back to the hotel probably until 2am-ish? Might as well stay up a few hours longer! DF and I are not as young as we used to be though

I'm using Beaute Speciale. They are also coming back to do my hair and makeup the morning of our shoot. I know that I will probably have some bags under my eyes, and I can't even think about trying to make my hair look decent at 4:30 in the morning. Our MK photo shoot is 2 days after the wedding. I didn't want it the morning after the wedding because I knew we'd be tired since our reception doesn't end until 1:30am.

I am using Anna at Makeovermajic. Our shoot is at 6AM. I think most of the Hair/Makeup people listed on Disney's recommendation sheet will come that early. You just have to pay an extra fee.

I would not recommend an all nighter. I have heard of a few brides who have done this and they totally regret it. Your wedding day will be exhausting and you will be upset when you look back on your pictures and can hardly keep your eyes open. It is worth the 100 or so bucks it will cost to have it redone and a few days after the wedding you will be rested etc. (Whats 100 bucks with the amount being spent on a wedding) I also recommend using Ana instead of going to the salon. She is SOOOOOOOOOO friendly and she will come straight to your room.

I used Lisa to come do my hair the day of the wedding. she arrived at my hotel room at the GF at 445 in the am. She was professionial and great!! I was having my MK session the next day so I asked her to make sure my hair was sprayed so that I didnt have to worry about it coming out. I wanted my hair up anyway, so it completely worked out. I was nervous about it so I did sleep, with the pillows under my back making sure they didnt touch my hair. She did my hair so prefectly that I didnt have to worry about it the next day.
