My hair is stick straight, fine, halfway down my back, and is impossible to style. I said I wouldn't cut it till after my wedding because everyone says its too pretty (naturally strawberry blond) so I was planning on wearing it half up. But let's be honest, it won't hold a curl so it will be flat in 5 minutes. I'm going through tons of detangler and conditioner trying to keep the knots out. Can I still get a nice up do if I get it cut to just below my shoulders?

If you ask your hairdresser to cut it to a suitable length so you can still tie it up then I'm sure you'll be able to have your hair put up on your wedding day. Do lots of google searches I'm sure you'll find a suitable style that works for you

For sure you can cut it. I was just in my best friends wedding and we all had up-do's. My hair is in a bob cut just above my shoulders and it all went up and stayed up - so I'm sure if you are leaving it even longer down past your shoulders you will have no issues.

When I got married last year everyone kept asking me if I was going to grow my hair (it's alo fine and poker straight) and I said "nope". Everyone assumes that's what you do for a wedding. I grew it about an extra inch and a half for a specific style but that was it

Not sure if you've cut your hair yet or not, but I'll give my 2 cents...

I have the same type of hair you described - straight and baby fine. However, when we had our VR in April I contracted with Beaute Speciale and she performed a miracle on my hair - I had curls! Check out my TR for pics.

And the curls held for nearly 2 days! Don't give up hope!

Other option is hair extensions - you can have whatever style you like then get the clip in extensions for the day. My cousin did that, not to give length but to give body, her hair looked amazing

Not sure if you have found anything yet or not, but my DD has straight, fine, extra long hair, and this is how I did her hair.

These were taken the day of her bridal portraits and I will do it the same way on the wedding day.

I used LOTS of hair spray as I went along, and her hair held up great.
