Hair Hair everywhere hair

To frenchbraid you just start small braid in the middle of your head, and keep adding hair every time you move a section to the middle. I usually brace my arms in the doorway cuz it takes so long. Hair is to my waist. Dyed as well, will end up lighter afer a week at the parks, too.

I too have long hair and have decided to chop it off next saturday :cheer2: and plan to give to locks of love. We are going to Disney in July for our honeymoon and I wanted to chop my hair off before then. It has been so long since i have gotten a style, i tend to keep my hair plain long and straight.

I feel so nervous about even learning how to do a new hair style instead of pulling it up, or back or whatever. Now that i have read this thread i am totally excited about the change!

French braiding is quite simple with some practice. Check your local library and see if they have any books on braiding. My mom couldn't do anything "cool" with hair when I was growing up, so I taught myself all kinds of nifty hair tricks by the time I hit Jr. High. I did my own hair for the prom, and designed all the hairstyles for the plays in college. I'm 25 now (almost 26) and I just don't have time for all the fancy stuff anymore! At parks, though, I usually French braid it, and if it's really hot, I'll clip up the end with a barette. My hair tangles terribly, so pulling it all up really helps when I'm outside.
