Does anyone have any pictures of their hair braided that they could post? Either the crown around the top of all their hair done. My 10 year old thinks it sounds totally cool!

I'd like to see any pictures anyone has too. My DDs, 10 and 15 are trying to get a mental picture. Please post them here or PM me.
Thanks!

I'll have to look for the pics....but here's a tip:

It was cheaper to have it done on the ship than it was on Nassau. Not sure about the other islands. There's something you can't often say - Disney is cheaper. It takes a while to do the whole head too..something like an hour or an hour and a half. Another thing...the braiding will expose more scalp, so make sure to put sun block in between the "rows".

Suzanne, Lexi is very cute, I love the way her braids cam out., I think I will get mine done as soon as I can in August, then I won't have to worry about my haqir for the entire cruise.

I noticed in both of your pictures that they only did the top of the head. Do they do right down the whole strand of hair?? My DD's had it done in St. Maarten last year and we loved it and so did they but they will want there whole heads done not just half. My youngest DD had over 16 little braids done just on the top of her head and then of course all the ones on the back. It took 2.5 hours to get it done!

Where can you get a list of braiding services that they provide?

SandraLee-- Your daughter's hair looks cute! How long did that take? and if you don't mind me asking how much did it cost?
I think my DD would like that style.

chasbos . . . We didn't want the whole head braided, but I'm sure they did that.

They charged about $2 / braided row and she had 15 rows. Plus tip. I think it ended up around $38 or so.

It tool around 30 minutes. We were lucky -- we did it on our way back to the ship and there was nobody there. Earlier in the day, they were packed.

On the ship it was ~$2/braid. Our DD specifically clarified with the stylist that she only was going to spend $25 on it, and specifically discussed what her options were that would only cost $25. (I love it when they spend their own money!)

The more you have braided - the more it will cost.

And, doing it on Castaway Cay is technically doing it 'on the ship'. It posts to your ship account and the 15% gratuity is automatically included. Yes, it is priced in the per braid. But, I think there is a big sheet that shows styles and costs.

Thanks to all for the pics and info!
Both my girls(5 and 10) both now want thier hair braided! I think it looks great! I'm even considering having mine done too! Now we just have to wait to July!
