HailtotheVictors Pre-Trip (4/1-4/9 ) & Trip Report (4/9-4/18)

Yes, the water pressure isn't the best but it is convenient. I got in the habit of using the blower to dry the cars and then just touching up with a terry cloth. A little trick a car detailer told me years ago.

Well no pics today...not counting the 300 Easter pics we took. Turns out Easter weekend was not the best for packing and getting the RV ready for our trip. We accomplished about 80% of our tasks with a few still to knock out over the next day or so. I did install a fishing rod holder in the back large compartment(42" tall by 37" deep running the width of the RV...love this compartment) of the RV that I had been wanting to do for a while.

Well for the 4th day in a row there was a new pile of stuff to go to the RV. I think tonights load was pretty close to the end..other than food and misc. I adjusted tire pressure and checked to make sure the refrigerator was on and cooling down. Tomorrow we are going to stock the refrigerator with all the cold items as well as load the dry goods. That will leave Wednesday open for any last minute items prior to getting on the road Thursday evening. I still need to get some Propane but I think I will hit a Pilot/Flying J on the way... well see.

I hope that isn't ALL the alcohol.............

Ha. No that is the cold beer going into the fridge. Unfortunately the fridge cannot hold as much beer as I would like. So we also have beer that is warm and we will replenish the fridge as we go along. The bottle of wine is a Malbec and my wife has some sweet bottle.(We obviously have different taste) There are also a couple bottles of "stronger" stuff already on the RV.

We are loyal Patriot fans for many many years, so I am loving the flag in your picture. Moved to FL from RI 8 years ago. Patriots games "up north" were part of living, but Disney 90 miles away Ah.... Life is good. Following your Pre-TR. Looking good.

Glad to know that isn't all of it! I'm heading out of town on a camping trip myself (nowhere near as exciting as the fort!) so I will be off the boards for the next few days but I'm looking forward to catching up on your TR when I get back. Safe Travels!!

Yea, it's a lot better visiting up north and living in the South full time. This is the first time I will have the flag down since the playoffs started. I figured after another Superbowl win I would just keep it out for a while : )

Thanks. Enjoy your trip.

Well I only thought the night before was my last load.. not so much this was my load from last night... A little blurry but note the crockpot.... I was out the door and remembered asking my wife the day before if all the cooking stuff had been loaded. She said yes. Last night I did one last check. And there sat the crock pot in the cabinet. I asked her if she planned on using the crock pot for her crock pot meals?? : ):stir:. Good last minute catch.

You guys be safe on the way over and we'll keep tuning in.

Well I am a little behind on the update...

So Thursday we got on the road... 3 hours late!!

We pulled into Destin around 6:00am. Parked for a bit and then headed into town. Check in at the RV resort was at 1pm.

We parked near the RV resort, met up with my family and then went and got breakfast. After breakfast we went to the RV park office to check in and they ended up letting us park in an empty spot until ours opened up. About 12:30 we pulled into our site.
