Hi
I just had to change alot of ps's. MY dd is 8 and ds is 5 and I'm traveling alone. My son gets very cranky when he gets tired. Ok so I need opinions. Thanks so much
dec 24th we are planning on going to the MK
sleigh ride at WL 3:30
dinner at Whispering canyon at 8

dec 25th Morning at AK breakfast at donalds at 8
chef mickey's at 7

is the sleigh ride worth the long wait b4 dinner or should we stay at MK
and then go to WL for whispering Canyon?
I called the hotel and they said maybe the restaurant can take us early but now I relized we will prop miss the parades at MK to make the sleigh ride. It sounds like fun BUT it is worth missing all the parades.

Thanks so much for all your help.

i'm not familiar w/the sleigh ride, so i cannot really help you there... my concern would be the late dinner w/a boy whom you admitted gets cranky when he's tired (and hungry?) plus, a dinner that late and then having to be at AK for 8am breakfast the next morning... i would work hard to switch that dinner to an earlier time, or skip it all together...

I agree. with the late meal on the 24th, you'd be spending as much money on snacks throughout the afternoon to tide you over. Why not try for a much earlier PS, say 5pm. Then head over to the MK for the evening parade and then back for sleep. For the 8am breakfast PS at AK you need to figure in travel time so you could be setting the alarm for 6:30am easy....are you sure that's what you want to do? Why not grab some rolls or sticky buns at the main street bakery after the parade, add some milk the next morning for an early "break the fast". Then schedule a character breakfast at AK for later, say 10am.? I just hate to think of you trying to get 2 tired kids up that early on Christmas Day.....Chef Mickey at 7pm is a bit late as well unless you just plan to snack around all day (and that can get expensive). I would think the kids would be ready again to eat at 4:30-5pm ish.

The Christmas parade is scheduled for 2pm on 12/24, so I don't think you'll have a problem seeing the parade and then taking the resort boat over to the Wilderness Lodge. I'd be more concerned about the late dinner time and how long it will be between the sleigh ride and eating. Unless you're staying at the WL and planned on maybe taking a nap in between. How about checking with the resort and seeing if you can make arrangements for a boxed lunch while on the sleigh ride. Maybe some PB&J sandwiches, along with a juice box and some cookies. Or just skip the sit down dinner and eat at their counter service (Roaring Fork) when you get back from your sleigh ride.

Hi,
I appreciate the replies. I would love to get earlier times, but they aren't available. i will keep checking and hoping one does. I prop will cancel the ps for donalds as I agree that might be too early. I will also check to see if a later one becomes available. For anyone who traveled during this time, do earlier ps's open up for chef mickey's. I tried to plan so good as tocall at the 90 day mark and then plans change.
I just don't know of the sleigh ride is worth it. it might be beeter to go back to the hotel and rest and them go to dinner. What do you think.
Thanks again for all the advice.
