We have only been to WDW once. This was in dec. 2003. While in Epcot I made it a point to look for the stand for beaver tails in the Canadian pavillion since I'd never had one before and it has been mentioned so many times here on the dis. Of course with my luck the stand was closed and I didn't get to try it.
Yesterday my oldest DD, SIL, DH and I went to the Toronto Zoo for the day. I was thrilled to find that they have a concession that sells beaver tails. Needless to say, it was yummy and I can see why everyone always said it was a must!!! :sunny:

You have been officially "tailed". I love the garlic butter and cheese but it is hard to find these days. My next fav is cinnamon and lemon. What did you have on yours? Oh now look what you have done, I have to go the mall in a few minutes and now I will have to stop in for a beavertail. Happy eating!

I'll admit I was chicken to try some of the other flavours and just stuck to cinnamon and sugar. My DH shared it with me so I had to make sure it was something we'd both like too.

The one with apples is very tasty too :)

Glad you enjoyed it :flower:

Just for your FYI, they have a stand at Ontario Place as well. This was a surprise to us. :sunny:

Congrats on getting the tail.

MamLema...thanks for the heads-up in regards to the beaver tails being available at Ontario Place!! I haven't been there in 30 years (the same was true of the zoo) and have thought about going back again soon. Just another incentive to go!!

No zoo or Ontario Place for 30 years?

Where have you been hiding? ;)

Was at Montana's the other night and one of their desserts is now a "beaver tail". They don't call it that and it has icecream caramel and whipped cream on it. Didn't try it but it sure looked good

Nah... not chicken just classic! :) The best is the piping hot 'classic' (cinnamon and sugar) on the Rideau Canal on a cold day. Yeah!!!
